Saleem Khan, a 31-year-old man from Uttar Pradeshs Bulandshahr district was arrested for allegedly making objectionable remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Khan posted a video on his Twitter account, in which he allegedly made those remarks. Cyber cell team came across the video and filed a complaint against Khan under relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act and the Indian Penal Code.
On November 14, Khan posted a video on his twitter account allegedly making objectionable remarks on PM Modi by allegedly used strong and harsh language in the video.
The cyber of Bulandshahr district came across Khan’s video; they wasted no time and filed a complaint against him, said SHO Kotwali Dehat Narendra Kumar Sharma. He continued to say that several other people had notified the local police station regarding the same.
We booked him under the Indian Information technology Act (IT Act) and relevant provisions of Indian Penal Code (IPC), Sharma added.

  On 15th November, Kotwali Dehat Police team held Khan after the district cyber cell filed a complaint against him. The nature and the content of the video were not clear and the intentions behind it were unclear too.
He came across as an educated man; we think he was trying to pull a publicity stunt, said Sharma. His team would be further investigating the matter.

Arush Chitre wins Open Group, Shraddha Bajaj bags first spot in Girl Group

Arush Chitre in Open Group and Shraddha Bajaj in Girls Group annexed the title of the  Nagpur District Under-17 Open and Girls Chess Championship organised by Chess Association Nagpur on 19th March 2023 in association with GH Raisoni Sports and Cultural Foundation and Kalpana Prakash Welfare Foundation at Vivekanand Hall at Shraddha House in Nagpur.

Arush Chitre, seeded second, improved his position to achieve the title scoring 6.5 out of 7. Ayush Ramteke also scored 6.5 points but was placed second based on their tie-break score.

In the Girls Group, second seeded Shraddha Bajaj took the top spot with 4.5 points out of 5 Rounds. Fifth seeded Swanandi Sole followed her to take second place in the merit list with 4 points out of five. 

Arush Chitre and  Ayush Ramteke shall represent the Nagpur District in Open Group and Shraddha Baja and Swanandi sole shall represent Nagpur District in Girls Group in the Maharashtra State Under 17 FIDE Rating Chess Championship to be held at Buldhana from 14th April 2022 to 16th April 2023.

Prizes were distributed at the hands of Swapnil Ahirkar Joint Secretary NCP Business Cell Maharashtra, Social worker & Director Ahirkar Group of Nagpur. Bhushsan Shriwas, Secretary, Chess Association Nagpur and Chief Arbiter Deepak Chavan were present on the dais. Top five finishers in Open and Girls Group got the trophies while medals were given to top two in under 15,13,11,09,07 category.

Deepak Chavan, Chief Arbiter successfully conducted the event assisted by SNA Sagar Sakhare, SNA Prayas Ambade and Prathamesh Machave.

Rotary Club of Nagpur Vision – RCNV – held a Rotaract meet with RI Friendship Exchange Team from Mexico at Jhulelal Institute of Technology on 10th March. Various Rotaract Clubs from Nagpur were present for the meet.

The students gave a traditional welcome to the team . The JIT Rotaractors showed their beautifully crafted Rotaract wall . This was followed by the visit at the science lab. The Rotaractors were addressed by PDG Rtn Shabbir Shakir, Mexican team leader Rtn Fernando, Rotaract Geraldine, JIT head Ms Madhavi, President Shivani Sule and Rtn Jaishree Chhabrani.

The Rotaractors were thrilled to meet the team and exchanged letter heads with the Mexican team . The Hi tea was interactive and the Management gave a memento to each. Rt Ann Mona Mulchandani worked hard and coordinated the wonderful arrangements at the college.

Unique Cooking Contest in Nagpur, in support of Inclusive Society and to promote Millets, entered the Asia Book of Records.

Unique Cooking Contest

Nagpur witnessed the biggest Inclusive Millet Cooking Contest in support of Inclusive Society and to promote Millets on the eve of International year of Millets on 18th March 2023 at Zero Mile Station, Freedom Park, Nagpur. SVK Shikshan Sanstha in association with L.A.D & S.R.P College for Women, Nagpur created history with a record making event for the first time in 51 Asian Countries, with around 540 enthusiastic participants from all walks of life, including Intellectually Challenged, Physically Challenged, Deaf & Mute, Visually Challenged, Third Gender and others collectively participated in this spectacular Inclusive Millet Cooking Contest.

SVK Shikshan Sanstha an NGO working to empower Intellectually Challenged Adults always creates a platform inviting people to join and celebrate the differences with their participation.  

Dr Sunita Dhote, Professor, Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering & Management and the Adjudicator from Asia Book of Records formally made the announcement that the feat was successful and presented the Certificate and Medal from Asia Book of Records to Mrs.Gayathri Vatsalya, the record holder.

Dr.Shyamala Nair, Director, CAO of Women’s Education Society extended all the support while Dr.Pooja Pathak, Principal, Faculty and student volunteers of L.A.D & S.R.P College for Women, Nagpur, mothers of SVKits, Ankita Gangal, Praful Thawre worked hard for the grand success of the event.
