Shilpa Shetty Kundra bereaved; father Surendra Shetty passes away
Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s father, Surendra Shetty, died earlier today as he suffered a massive cardiac arrest, while he was asleep, at his Versova residence, Mumbai. He was rushed to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai, where he was declared dead.
Both the Shetty sisters were said to have shared an extremely close bond with their father. Shilpa had once said that shes still a middle class girl at heart and it’s her parents marriage that has helped her build a strong relationship with husband Raj Kundra. Like the elder daughter, father Surendra too shared a great bond with the formers close friend Salman Khan. Actor Harman Baweja and R Madhavan visited the Shettys residence to offer their condolences. Likewise, many actors and close friends of Kundras and Shettys visited the Shetty family.
Shilpa Shetty, who’s currently one of the judges in a dance reality show Super Dancer on Sony Entertainment Television had once said in an interview, I’ve seen both my parents work really hard and my dad used to do the houses laundry. When we were young, the washing machine was just introduced, so I remember my dad waiting for the weekend only to help my mother do the laundry.
Surendra, who was the manufacturer of tamper-proof water caps for the pharmaceutical industry, was in news a few months ago when he was duped by self-styled godman, Baba Devendra, for two crores. The baba was finally arrested after the family filed a police complaint.
Shetty is survived by wife Sunanda and two daughters ? Shilpa and Shamita. The funeral procession will start from their residence – 7D Aditya apartments, opposite MHADA telephone exchange, Andheri West -tomorrow (October, 12) at 9:30 am from where the body will be taken to crematorium near Pawan Hans, Vile Parle for the last rites.
Earlier in the day, people woke up to another sad news of businesswoman, philanthropist and wife of Adi Godrej ? Parmeshwar Godrej, – who passed away due to a degenerative lung disease on Monday, October 10.

49-yr-old man dies while playing badminton in Nagpur
A 49-year-old man in Nagpur died while playing badminton in Pachpaoli area on Monday morning at around 6:45 am. The deceased, identified as Gunnu Dharma Lohara, was a resident of Yadav Nagar who was playing badminton with his friend.
He was rushed to Central Railway Hospital in an unconscious state and was declared dead by the doctors there.

Nagpur declared ‘no drone zone’ on March 20, 21
Ahead of G20 meet in Nagpur, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ashwati Dorje, on Wednesday, said the city has been declared ‘No Drone Zone’ on March 20, 21. The development came in as a security measure for the large number of foreign delegates that will be in the city for the summit.
Any aerial objects including use of parachutes have also been banned.
