Nagpur citizens to vote for MLC polls wearing PPE kits today if

In the wake of the newly emerged variant of COVID-19, Omicron, the election department of the Nagpur district administration prepared strategies to ensure safe voting for the citizens in today’s MLC polls.
In one such activity, the corporators, who visited states like Goa, Karnataka, Gujarat and Orissa in the last 10 days, would undergo a mandatory RT-PCR test. Also, the corporators, who recently travelled via flights, would be required to get tested for COVID-19.
The body temperature of all voters would be measured on polling day today, December 10.
Deputy Collector (Election) of Nagpur District Meenal Kalaskar while speaking to media persons in this regard, said, “Voters will be able to come to the polling booths from 8 am to 4 pm on the day of polling.
The body temperature of all voters would be checked at the time of voting. Such voters, whose body temperature would be above the set normal norms, would have to cast their votes by wearing PPE kits.
As per the Election department, 559 citizens registered to vote for this election.
A Nagpur District Yuva Sena worker ripping banner supporting Eknath Shinde in city’s Gandhibagh area
Members of Yuva Sena, led by Nagpur District Yuva Sena chief Vikram Rathod, on June 25, ripped a banner supporting party member Eknath Shinde, which was placed at Chitaroli in Gandhibagh. Shinde, who’s leading a group of rebel Shiv Sena MLAs, is the man behind the current political crisis in Maharashtra.
Speaking to Nation Next, Vikram Rathod said: “Eknath Shinde was given so much love and respect by Shiv Sena and in return he has betrayed the party and Balasaheb Thackeray. We condemn his conduct. We are with Uddhavji. Any banner in the city supporting Eknath Shinde will be torn off by us in similar manner.”
Shiv Sena Nagpur Pramukh Pravin Barde, Dhiraj Fandi, Manoj Sahu, Sanjay Kasodhan, Vasant Dongre, along with other Shiv Sainiks were present when the banner was ripped off.

Congress leader Ashish Deshmukh tendered his resignation as the General Secretary of MPCC to party Chief Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday, May 31.
Deshmukh said that the decision to resign was taken after the Congress nominated Imran Pratapgarhi from Maharashtra as Rajya Sabha candidate. Deshmukh said that although he has resigned from the post, he would remain in the party and continue to work for the same.
The list of Rajya Sabha candidates by Congress that stirred massive resent in the ranks, shortlisted 34-year-old Pratapgarhi – Congress minority department chairperson and a poet from Maharashtra. He had contested the Lok Sabha polls from Moradabad on a Congress ticket but lost his seat to a BJP candidate.
