Indian Air Force pilot dies as MiG-21 fighter jet crashes in Punjab’s Moga
The MiG-21 that crashed in Moga district late on Thursday, May 20
Squadron Leader Abhinav Choudhary lost his life when a MiG-21 fighter jet of the Indian Air Force crashed on late Thursday night in the fields near Langeana Khurd village of Moga district in Punjab. Choudhary’s body was found abour 2kms away from the crash site after four hours of the crash. He was on his way back to Suratgarh after a routine training at the time of the accident.
Gurdeep Singh, ,SP, Headquarters, Moga, said: “There is a training facility for fighter jet pilots at a village near Jagraon town in Ludhina district. Abhinav Choudhary came here for training from Suratgarh and was going back when the jet crashed.
He added: “We received information [about the crash] around 11.30pm and immediately reached the spot and started search operation for the pilot. We eventually found his (Abhinav Choudhary) body around 3am, Friday. It seems that he jumped with a parachute and broke his neck while landing.”
Indian Air Force condoled the death of Choudhary as it tweeted: “There was an aircraft accident last night involving a Bison aircraft of IAF in the western sector. The pilot, Sqn Ldr Abhinav Choudhary, sustained fatal injuries…IAF condoles the tragic loss and stands firmly with the bereaved family.”

Renowned singer KK passes away at 53

KK passed away at the age of 53 in Kolkata
Renowned playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, passed away at the age of 53 in Kolkata. The singer performed at Nazul Mancha auditorium on Tuesday (May 31). He went to his hotel after his performance and collapsed. He was rushed to Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) at around 10:30 pm, where he was declared brought dead by the doctors. The exact cause of his death is unknown as of now.

Shane Warne, the legendary Australian spinner, passed away at the age of 52 after suffering a suspected heart attack, his management has confirmed.
A statement by the managenent read: “Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived. The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course.”
