India beats Pakistan by 203 runs to enter the final of ICC U-19 World Cup

Indian U-19 team defeated the Pakistan U-19 team by a whopping 203 runs in the semi final of the ICC U-19 World Cup 2018 at Hagley Oval, Christchurch, on Tuesday. India will now play against Australia in the final of the U-19 World Cup to be held at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui, on February 3, 2018.
Winning the toss and opting to bat first, India, with the help of a superb century from Shubham Gill (102* runs from 94 balls), scored 272 runs at the fall of nine wickets in 50 overs. Chasing a target of 273 runs, Pakistan buckled under pressure and could just manage to score 69 runs as they lost all the wickets in 29.3 overs. Ishan Porel gave a stunning performance as he clinched four wickets conceding just 17 runs in six overs. Gill was named as the Man of the Match for his crucial century.
This is the sixth time, India’s U-19 team has entered the finals of the U-19 World Cup. India has won the U-19 World cup three times – in 2000 against Sri Lanka, in 2008 against Malaysia and in 2012 against Australia.

Nagpur’s COVID-19 tally, on Tuesday, January 25, reached 5,43,064 (till 5 pm) as 4028 (972 from rural and 2956 from city) new cases were recorded in a single day.
Also, active COVID cases, as on Tuesday, could be seen inching closer to 30,000 mark in the district.
