Fearing arrest, kidnappers dump 8-yr-old boy, abducted from Chandrapur, in Nagpur

A CSIF jawan found an eight-year-old boy near Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Nagpur Airport who seemed lonely and lost. He handed him over to cops at Sonegaon Police Station.

The police found out that the boy wasn’t lost rather he was kidnapped from Chandrapur.

This incident took place in Ghugus (village in Chandrapur District), from where the boy was abducted. He was last spotted playing near a temple in his village.

When the boy failed to return home after several hours, his parents filed a missing complaint in the nearby police station.

The officers then came across the CCTV footage, in which an unidentified man was seen kidnapping the boy. The police gathered their search team and began the investigation. Meanwhile, the photo of the boy and the news of kidnapping went viral on social media.

We believe that the kidnappers became aware of our search and investigation. To avoid getting caught, they abandoned the boy, said the officer in charge as per PTI.

He continued to say that all the nearby police stations were alerted about the news and borders of the city were secured.

The team was hoping that the parents would receive a call for ransom; we were ready to deal with it? he added.

After nine hours of this incident, the boy finally returned home and was united with his parents and family. The investigation is still on; won’t stop till we find the criminals said the official. The motive behind this crime is still in the dark.

The Raaas (2018)

Since The Raaas enchanted and enthralled Nagpur with its quality garba in its first year in 2018, the demand for encore has been reverberating the city. To cater to the huge public demand, the organisers of the king of garbas have decided to continue The Raaas next year on. Like its first year, The Raaas Garba will be presented to Nagpur in association with Nation Next in 2023. Mahesh Kukreja, the key organiser said, “Because of some reasons, we, earlier, thought of giving the event a break.”

He added, “Then COVID-19 struck the world. Now we plan to continue it from next year onwards. While I express my gratitude to Nagpurians to make the event a huge hit, I request the city’s garba revellers to not get fooled as a few garbas are falsely claiming to be The Raaas. We’ll be back next year for sure!”
