Experts share insights on logistics, industry, MIHAN and IT at Nagpur Dialogue 2.0

The Nagpur Dialogue 2.0 organised recently at Chitnavis Centre by Six Senses in association with Nation Next as the media partner, brought forward issues related to undergoing massive transformation in logistic, industry, aerospace-Defence and IT. The experts present during the discussion were Lt Gen. (Rtd) Ravindra Thodge (Chairman of VDHIC, MIHAN), Shailesh Awale (Centre Head and Director of HCL Technologies), Vivek Deshpande, (Director of Spacewood) and Karunakaran Sathianathan (Managing Director of DLI). The opening remarks were made by chartered accountant Shivkumar Rao (mentor of The Nagpur Dialogue and President of VED Council).

Malhar Deshpande, Founder, Six Senses, shared the idea behind The Nagpur Dialogue and elaborated on why he started this initiative. He also moderated the discussion. Speaking to Nation Next, Malhar said, The Nagpur Dialogue aims to kick-start a dialogue, discussion, debate among the citizens, youngsters and all the stake holders. The dialogue is perfect opportunity for enthusiastic and inquisitive youngsters, citizens to understand and discuss the emerging opportunities, potential and possibilities in various sectors. Malhar added, Nagpur is currently neither underdeveloped nor the fastest growing city in India. It is necessary to re-imagine the potential, opportunities and possibilities in the city and come up with doable, feasible action plans.

During the panel discussion Karunakaran Sathianathan said, Nagpur has all the potential of being a logistic hub. But it has not used its potential to the optimum. He elaborated it by giving examples of his own company, which has made the investment of Rs 200 crore and has given direct employment to 200 people & indirect employment to close to 1000 people. We are doing 25 times more today, but still we think we have not realised 95 per cent of its potential. He said, MIHAN was not handled very well. He emphasised the need to rectify, and once again re-focus on MIHAN. Sathianathan also urged the need to complete the eco system required for logistic hub.

Lt Gen (Rtd) Ravindra Thodge elaborated why MIHAN was not taking off and insisted on the change of attitude. Blaming the administration of MIHAN, he said, The administration must behave like a catalyst of development and not just commission agent of real estate. He elaborated it by giving examples of various delegation of foreign countries visiting MIHAN and the way they were dealt by the administration. He underscored the need to change the mindset.

Vivek Deshpande, Director of Spacewood clarified that despite of a humble beginning of Rs 65,000 in the 1994, he has multiplied his business to 500 crore, employing 1,500 people. He said, I don’t remember anything negative happen. A symphony between man, machine, material, logistic have to be maintained for the success of the business. Deshpande scraping all the blames about the work force of city said, All depends on the driver of the company. Make people align to your thoughts.

The programme was anchored by Niketa Sane, RJ with MyFM Radio channel. The vote of thanks was presented by moderated by Bhushan Sahasrabuddhe, Co-founder of Six Senses. Vilas Kale, former President of Vidarbha Economic Development Council (VED), Director of Provincial Group, Shreya Nath, Director of Sampark and Anagha Joshi, President of Rotary Club of Nagpur West were prominently present. Atmadeepam Society felicitates 18 visually-impaired students for completion of course in Computers | Nagpur

Atmadeepam Society recently hosted a certificate distribution program for 18 visually-impaired students who completed a course in Computers.

Atmadeepam Society recently hosted a certificate distribution program for the VI/Blind candidates who completed the Computer Fundamentals and Fundamentals of Internet. The courses were conducted by Parivartan centre at Atmadeepam Society in Nagpur. The program was graced by several guests including Dr Harsha Jharia, Chief Administrative Officer, LAD College, Nagpur, and Chaitanya Deshpande, CSR Head, DB Jain Group.

Hema Kubde, Secretary, Atmadeepam Society Nagpur and Yogeshwar Chawwaldhal, Treasurer, Atmadeepam Society Nagpur also graced the occasion. President Jidnyasa Chawaldhal gave the introductory speech and the event was hosted by Aarti Chavan.

During the ceremony, certificates were distributed to 18 VI/Blind candidates who successfully completed the three-month Computer Fundamentals course, and 14 VI/Blind candidates who completed the one-month Fundamentals of Internet course.

We are proud to announce that two of our VI/Blind candidates who completed the courses have secured employment. This achievement is a testament to the effectiveness of the courses in providing practical skills that are valuable in the job market.

Atmadeepam Society is committed to providing education and training opportunities to underprivileged sections of society. We would like to thank our esteemed guests for gracing the occasion and recognising the hard work put in by our VI/Blind candidates and trainers Kamal and Rupali.

DPS Kamptee Road held first-ever Pro-Vice Chairperson Inter-School Swimming Competition 'Poolompics 1.0' in Nagpur.

Delhi Public School Kamptee Road, Nagpur, demonstrated its commitment to promoting sports by organizing the first-ever Pro-Vice Chairperson Inter-School Swimming Competition, ‘Poolompics 1.0’, on the 25th of March, 2023, in its state-of-the-art natatorium. Boasting an indoor swimming pool that matches all benchmarks, the school provided a perfect setting for the event. Ms. Tulika Kedia, President and Pro-Vice Chairperson, Delhi Public School Kamptee Road and MIHAN, Nagpur was the source of inspiration behind this event.

The esteemed Chief Guest for the event Dr. Sambhaji Bhonsale, an accomplished individual in the field of sports and education who currently serves as the Director of Sports at Mathuradas Mohota College of Science, Joint Secretary of the Swimming Association of Maharashtra, Secretary of the Nagpur District Swimming Association, and Chairman of the Swimming Selection Committee at Nagpur University, brought a wealth of experience to the occasion.

The event was also graced by Indrajeet Parganiha, Bursar, Delhi Public School Kamptee Road, Nagpur, Amol Raipurkar, NIS, Swimming Coach and Ritu Sharma, Principal, DPS Kamptee Road, Nagpur.

In total, 115 swimmers participated in 42 events, with 48 schools from Nagpur and other cities competing in the Under 10, Under 12, and Under 14 boys and girls categories, in the 50-mtr and 100-mtr Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke and Butterfly events.

The event was an excellent opportunity for young swimmers to showcase their skills and sportsmanship. The competition was fierce, and the swimmers pushed themselves to their limits, determined to emerge victorious. The atmosphere was electric, with cheers and applause from the audience as the swimmers raced towards the finish line.

DPS Kamptee Road held first-ever Pro-Vice Chairperson Inter-School Swimming Competition 'Poolompics 1.0' in Nagpur.

The judges, comprising of experienced swimming coaches were impressed with the quality of swimming on display. The swimmers demonstrated excellent technique, speed, and endurance, making the judges job of selecting winners a challenging one.

The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, where the winners received medals and certificates for their outstanding performances. The participants also received participation certificates as a token of appreciation for their effort and commitment.

The event was a resounding success, and the participants and spectators alike enjoyed an exhilarating day of competition in an exemplary facility.

‘राहुल गांधी बड़ा दिल करके ओबीसी समाज से माफी मांग ले:’ कांग्रेस नेता आशीष देशमुख

“राहुलजी गांधीने सम्पूर्ण देश के ओबीसी समाज की माफ़ी मांगनी चाहिए. कांग्रेस को आने वाले चुनावों में खामियाजा भुगतने से बचने लिए और ओबीसी का वोट बैंक बीजेपी के तरफ जाने से रोकने के लिए राहुलजी को निश्चित रूप से माफ़ी मांगनी चाहिए.

२०१९ में अगर गलती से कुछ शब्द उनसे निकल गए होंगे, तो उसको देखते हुए एक बहोत बड़ा ओबीसी समाज अगर नाराज है, तो निश्चित तौर पर राहुलजी माफ़ी मांगे, यही हमारी मांग रहेगी. किसी समाज को चोर कहना ये निश्चित तौर पर गंवारा नहीं है. इसके पहले भी राहुलजी ने विभिन्न दो मसलों में माफ़ी मांगी है. और यहाँ पर तो ओबीसी समाज की बात है. राहुलजी अगर माफ़ी मांगते है तो उनकी प्रतिमा और उभर कर आयेगी. और ये समुचा जो प्रकरण चल रहा है, ये शांत होने में कांग्रेस को मदद होगी.

कांग्रेस के अन्य नेताओं का कहना है की, माफ़ी मांगने का प्रश्न ही नहीं उठता. यह भावनओं का प्रश्न है. एक व्यक्ति यहाँ पर दुखी नहीं हो रहा है, पूरा ओबीसी समाज अपने आप को दुखी महसूस कर रहा है. बड़े दिल से राहुलजी गाँधी माफ़ी मांगे, यही हमारे जैसे नेताओं की मांग है. चौकीदार चोर है के सन्दर्भ में भी हमारे वरिष्ठ नेताओं ने कांग्रेस वर्किंग कमिटी (सीडब्ल्यूसी) में नाराजगी जताई थी. उसमे भी कोर्ट में राहुलजी को माफ़ी मांगनी पड़ी थी.

तब तक २०१९ में कांग्रेस खामियाजा भुगत चूका था. अभी कुछ ही दिनों में कर्नाटक और फिर दिसम्बर में मध्य प्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ़, राजस्थान के चुनाव है, जहाँ पर ओबीसी समाज बहोत बड़े पैमाने पर है. आनेवाले २०२४ में लोकसभा के भी चुनाव है. इन सभी चुनावों में ओबीसी समाज को अपनाने की कांग्रेस को जरुरत है. और ऐसे में अगर ओबीसी समाज कहीं किसी गलत निकले हुए शब्द से दुखी है तो निश्चित तौर पर माफ़ी मांगने से ओबीसी समाज संभल जायेगा, समझ जायेगा और फिर से एक बार पूरी जोश के साथ कांग्रेस के साथ बना रहेगा. मेरे पिता श्री. रणजीतबाबु देशमुख कांग्रेस कमिटी के दो बार अध्यक्ष और मंत्री रह चुके है.

मैं विधायक रह चूका हूं. कांग्रेस की टिकट पर देवेन्द्र फडनविस के खिलाफ भी चुनाव लड़ चूका हूं. मेरे इस वक्तव्य से कांग्रेस पार्टी हायकमांड नाराज नहीं होगी, ये मुझे उम्मीद है. ओबीसी समाज नाराज नहीं होना चाहिए, ये महत्वपूर्ण है. फडनविसजी मुख्यमंत्री थे तब मैं उनके खिलाफ चुनाव में खड़ा हुआ था. उस वक़्त मुझे प्रचार के लिए सिर्फ १०-११ दिन मिले थे. उस वक़्त भारी पैमाने पर हमारा ओबीसी समाज हमारे साथ, कांग्रेस के साथ, खड़ा हुआ था. और यही हम चाहते है की, वो कांग्रेस से जुड़ा रहें.

अगर कहीं गलती से कुछ शब्द चुनाव के प्रचार दरम्यान निकल गए हो, कोई जुमलासा निकल गया हो, तो उसे वापस लेने में और उसे रिग्रेट करने में और उसके लिए माफ़ी मांगने में न कोई अंदेशा या संदेशा रहना चाहिए. राहुलजी बड़े दिल के इंसान है, अच्छे नियत के इंसान है. उन्होंने खुले दिल से ओबीसी समाज को अपनाना चाहिये. ओबीसी समाज की भावना को अगर ठेस पहुंची है, तो माफ़ी मांगकर उनको समझाकर अपने साथ रखने की, कांग्रेस के साथ रखने की पहल निश्चित तौर पर करनी चाहिए.

हमारे प्रदेशाध्यक्ष भी ओबीसी समाज के है और वो विदर्भ के ही है. वो भी इसी भावनाओं से निश्चित रूप से जुड़े होंगे. हमारी यही कोशिश है की कांग्रेस पार्टी आलाकमान तक ये हमारी, कांग्रेस नेताओं की, कार्यकर्ताओं की और ओबीसी समाज की भावनाएं पहुंचे. मुझे यही अपेक्षा रहेंगी की, राहुलजी जैसे सुलझे हुए व्यक्ति जल्द से जल्द माफ़ी मांगकर ओबीसी समाज को फिर से एक बार जोड़ने में सफल होंगे. माफ़ी मांगकर यह विषय यही पर समाप्त करना चाहिए,” ऐसी प्रतिक्रिया महाराष्ट्र प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमिटी के महासचिव  एवं महाराष्ट्र के संसदीय समिती के सदस्य तथा नागपुर (महाराष्ट्र) के पुर्व विधायक आशीषराव र. देशमुख ने नागपुर में व्यक्त की. फिलहाल ओबीसी समाज के प्रकरण को देखते हुए उन्होंने एक वार्तालाप में यह बात कही.
