When new Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal regretted ‘wasting time’ tying IIT-JEE supplements!

In yet another proud moment for fellow Indians, Parag Agrawal, who is an IIT Mumbai alumnus, was on Monday, November 29, appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Twitter Inc.
Agrawal, who joined Twitter in 2011, succeeded Twitters founder Jack Dorsey and became the CEO of the microblogging site.
It was back in those days when young Parag appeared for the JEE entrance test. After finishing the questions he was sure about, he went to the invigilator and asked her for supplements.
The invigilator said that no instructions were given to provide supplements. Parag went back to his seat and carefully read the instructions on his question paper, which read, Tie all supplements carefully.
He cited the instructions and asked the teacher to provide supplements. He regretted wasting his time in tying all those supplements to the sheet, said his teacher, who coached him for the test.
The 37-year-old tech enthusiast has now become the youngest CEO among the CEOs of the top 500 companies in the world. For a fact, Meta founder and CEO, tech giant Mark Zuckerberg and Agrawal are of the same age.
Deep gratitude for Jack and our entire team, and so much excitement for the future. Here’s the note I sent to the company. Thank you all for your trust and support, wrote Agrawal in a tweet while confirming his appointment as the new CEO of Twitter.
Dorsey would stay on the board of the San Francisco-based company until his term expires in 2022, said Twitter. Agrawal would also be joining the board, where he would also be a statistical outlier.

An elderly couple was mauled by a tiger in Chor Bawali on January 25 while on their way from Narsinghpur (Madhya Pradesh) to Nagpur on January 25. The couple was accompanied by their 25-year-old son in a car. Following the tiger attack, the couple was admitted to Kingsway Hospital in Nagpur.

While on their way to Nagpur, the family of three stopped near Chor Bawali for passing urine. When the 58-year-old woman got out of the car, the tiger, which was probably wounded by a previous vehicular assault, caught hold of the woman’s hand and bit her thumb. When the woman’s husband stepped out of the car to help his wife, the tiger attacked him as well and injured his right leg. A terrfied son started throwing stones at the tiger, who eventually ran away.

The couple was given first aid by the bystanders before being driven to Nagpur by the son to Kingsway hospital. Speaking to Nation Next, treating surgeon Dr Prakash Jain informed that the family was terrified when it arrived at the hospital. Dr Jain said: “The couple is now stable. Tiger mauling is always serious. The couple was lucky to have sustained minor injuries in the incident.”
