Few important benefits, which the farmers will avail by converting their tractors to CNG are as follows:
1. It’s a clean fuel as it has the lowest content of carbon and other pollutants.
2. It’s economical as it has zero lead and is non-corrosive, non-dilutive and non-contaminating, which helps in increasing the life of the engine and it requires less regular maintenance.
3. It’s cheaper as CNG prices are far more consistent than fluctuating Petrol prices also it has been noticed that the average of CNG vehicles are better than that of Diesel/Petrol driven vehicles.
4. It’s safer as CNG tanks come with a tight seal, which reduces the possibility of explosion and releases little to no emissions while refueling or in the event of a spill.
5. It’s the future as CNG is unstoppable future that will bring more benefits than one can imagine. At present there are around 12 million vehicles are already powered by natural gas throughout the world and more companies and municipalities are joining the CNG movement every day.
6. It’s the unit of being waste to wealth as stubble (Parali) can be used as a raw material for producing Bio-CNG, which will help the farmers to earn money by selling it to the Bio-CNG production units in their locality which will further help in saving the environment from harmful gases produced by burning them mainly in Punjab and Haryana.

Benefits of Converting the Tractor to CNG:
1. The test reports indicates that the retrofitted tractor produces more power/equal in comparison to Diesel run engine.
2. Overall emissions are reduced by 70% as compared to Diesel.
3. It will help farmers to save up to 50% on the fuel cost as the current Diesel prices are Rs 77.43 per litre, where as CNG is only Rs 42 per kg.
4. The modification of the engine is done in order to optimize engine with a pilot and reverse pilot technology.

The most important benefit for the farmer will be able to save more than Rs 1,00,000 annually on fuel cost, which will help them to improve their livelihood.
