After Bollywood ace filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani was accused of sexually exploiting his assistant director, he denied all allegations of sexual misconduct against him.

After HuffPost India published an allegation of sexual misconduct on Hirani by his assistant director (during the making of Sanju), the ace Bollywood filmmaker has denied the said allegations on him. Hirani, through his lawyer Anand Desai, stated that all the allegations of sexual misconduct on him are false, mischievous, scandalous, motivated and defamatory.

Hirani made headlines after reports of he sexually exploiting his assistant director more than once during a period of six months surfaced today afternoon. The woman had worked with him for Sanjay Dutt biopic Sanju with the postproduction crew between March and September in 2018.

The survivor in November had written a detailed email to Sanju co-producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, in which she recalled her horrific story.

The woman shared the same story through an email to HuffPost India. As per the same report, in her email dated November 3, 2018, the woman said that on April 9, 2018, Hirani first made a sexually suggestive remark towards her, after which he sexually assaulted her at his home-office.

The woman, who in her email shared that she saw Hirani as a father figure until the assault, wrote, I remember forming these words on my lips ? Sir. This is wrong…Because of this power structure. You being the absolute power and me, being a mere assistant, a nobody – I will never be able to express myself to you. My mind, body and heart were grossly violated that night and for the next 6 months.

The woman revealed that Hirani, who was her boss and 30 years elder to her, intimidated her. She mentioned that she took great pains to hide the filmmakers act and behaviour towards her and tried to show normalcy. She did so as her father was suffering from a terminal illness and hence she desperately needed to continue with the job.

The email further read, I had no choice but to be polite to him. It was unbearable but the reason I endured it all, until I couldn’t, was because I didn’t want my job to be taken away from me, and work to be questioned. Ever. I was worried that if I left midway, it would be impossible to find another job in this industry if he were to speak badly about my work. Because if Hirani said I wasn’t good, everybody would listen. My future would be in jeopardy.

When Lata Mangeshkar got offended by Dilip Kumar and didn’t speak to him for 13 years

Late Lata Mangeshkar and legendary actor late Dilip Kumar were known to share a special bond. She would also tie rakhi to the latter.

Nightingale of India, late Lata Mangeshkar and legendary actor late Dilip Kumar were known to share a special bond. So much so that the Queen of Melody would also tie rakhi to the latter. She was among the close ones who visited the late actor during his last days. But do you know the reason why their relation had gone sour, as a result of which they did not speak for 13 long years?

The story dates back to the time when Lata Mangeshkar was to sing ‘Laagin Naahi Chhute’ for the film Musafir, in 1957. At that time, Kumar told music composer Anil Biswas, “The Urdu of Marathis (Maharashtrians) is like dal and rice.” This offended the veteran singer, after which she decided to hone her Urdu speaking skills.

After 13 years when they met in 1970, the veteran singer remarked, “You know, Yusuf saab, I’d always heard you loathed me for being one up on you while recording the Laagi Naahin Chhute Rama duet with you in Musafir. But I only sang the way I can’t help singing any number.”

To this, Kumar gleefully asserted, “It’s precisely because you can’t help singing the way you do that my family and I adore you! How possibly could I loathe a voice so heavenly!”

On February 6, 2022, due to COVID-induced prolonged illness, the illustrious singer passed away in Mumbai.

BJP National Secretary Pankaja Munde said even Prime Minister Narendra Modi wouldn’t be able to end her political career if she lived in people’s hearts and minds. Munde said the same on Tuesday while addressing a public rally — part of PM Modi’s birthday celebrations for a fortnight across Maharashtra — at Ambajogai in Maharashtra’s Beed district.

Munde said, “If I live in people’s mind and heart, even Modiji cannot end my political career… Dynasty politics has been prevailing in the Congress party. Modiji, however, wants to end the dynasty rule… I hail from a political family, but if I live in your mind and heart, nobody will be able to finish (end the career) me. If I live in people’s minds and hearts, even Modiji cannot finish my political career.”
