Rahul Gandhi extends special prayers, wishes for farmers fighting against powerful forces
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, on Thursday, wished farmers on the occasion of Sankranti, Pongal, Bihu and Uttarayan.
This harvest season, he extended special payers to farmers, who were protesting against Centre’s three farm laws at the Delhi-Haryana border for more than 60 days.
The former Congress chief took to Twitter and wrote, Harvest season is a time of joy and celebrations. Happy Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Bihu, Bhogi and Uttrayan! Special prayers and wishes for our Kisaan-Mazdoors who are fighting for their rights against powerful forces.
He further stated that he would be visiting Tamil Nadu today where he would further attend bull-taming event ?Jallikattu. I’m coming to celebrate Pongal with you. Will attend Jallikattu in Madurai, he added.
After eight rounds of unsuccessful talks, leaders representing farmers protest and ministers from the Central government would again meet tomorrow to discuss the demands of farmers on farm laws.
49-yr-old man dies while playing badminton in Nagpur
A 49-year-old man in Nagpur died while playing badminton in Pachpaoli area on Monday morning at around 6:45 am. The deceased, identified as Gunnu Dharma Lohara, was a resident of Yadav Nagar who was playing badminton with his friend.
He was rushed to Central Railway Hospital in an unconscious state and was declared dead by the doctors there.

Nagpur declared ‘no drone zone’ on March 20, 21
Ahead of G20 meet in Nagpur, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ashwati Dorje, on Wednesday, said the city has been declared ‘No Drone Zone’ on March 20, 21. The development came in as a security measure for the large number of foreign delegates that will be in the city for the summit.
Any aerial objects including use of parachutes have also been banned.
