Union Minister Smriti Irani on Wednesday (January 5) slammed the Congress-led Punjab Government for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security lapse. Irani’s statement comes after PM Modi was stuck on a flyover in Punjab for 15-20 minutes today due to blockade by some protesters and returned without attending an event at a martyrs’ memorial.
Taking a dig at Congress, Irani said “We know Congress hates Modi, but today they tried to harm the PM of India.” Irani claimed that never before in the history of our country, a state government knowingly constructed a scenario where the PM will be brought to harm.
49-yr-old man dies while playing badminton in Nagpur
A 49-year-old man in Nagpur died while playing badminton in Pachpaoli area on Monday morning at around 6:45 am. The deceased, identified as Gunnu Dharma Lohara, was a resident of Yadav Nagar who was playing badminton with his friend.
He was rushed to Central Railway Hospital in an unconscious state and was declared dead by the doctors there.

Nagpur declared ‘no drone zone’ on March 20, 21
Ahead of G20 meet in Nagpur, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ashwati Dorje, on Wednesday, said the city has been declared ‘No Drone Zone’ on March 20, 21. The development came in as a security measure for the large number of foreign delegates that will be in the city for the summit.
Any aerial objects including use of parachutes have also been banned.
