Patidar quota leader Hardik Patel marries childhood friend Kinjal Parikh

Patidar leader Hardik Patel tied the nuptial knot with Kinjal Parikh on January 27 in a simple wedding ceremony at Meldi Mata temple in Surendranagar district of Gujarat. The ceremony was attended by the couples close friends and relatives. Kinjal, who is Hardiks childhood friend, is a commerce graduate and is currently pursuing law.

While Hardiks native place is Chandan Nagari, a village near Viramgam of Ahmedabad dictrict, Kinjal is a native of Viramgam and her family stays in Surat. Kinjals father Dilip Patel is a businessman and deals with real estates.

Speaking to the media after the wedding rituals, Hardik said, This is the beginning of a second innings of my family life. My resolution will be to ensure everyone gets equal opportunity. The demand that men and women should get equal rights will continue; I promise my wife the same, together we will fight for Navnirman? of the country. Hardik added, Our (collective) resolution is to fight collectively for the truth, for the people and for equal rights.

ED searched Nagpur office of Church of North India

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) searched the Nagpur office of the Church of North India (CNI) at Sadar area on Wednesday in connection with a cheating case registered against PC Singh, bishop of the CNI’s Jabalpur Diocese in Bhopal. 

The ED is currently carrying out searches at 11 locations across India. In September 2022, Singh had been detained at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport (Nagpur airport) for questioning after an offence was registered against him. When Singh was in Germany, Madhya Pradesh Police had recovered around ₹1.6 crore in Indian and foreign currencies from the bishop’s residence in Jabalpur.

Last year in July, a case was registered against Singh for allegedly indulging in financial misconduct in running an educational society, of which he was the chairman.

ED officials said as per an investigation, ₹2.7 crore collected as students’ fees by the society’s various institutions between the year 2004-05 and 2011-12 was allegedly transferred to religious institutions, misused and spent by the bishop for personal needs and a part of the money was also transferred to CNI’s Nagpur office.

78-yr-old H3N2 positive man in Nagpur dies

A 78-year-old man from Nagpur, who had tested positive for Influenza – a subtype H3N2 – virus few days back passed away.

A 78-year-old man from Nagpur, who had tested positive for Influenza – a subtype H3N2 – virus few days back, died of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and respiratory failure on Wednesday. The elderly man, who was a chain smoker, had several underlying health issues including diabetes and hypertension.

Health officials said the senior citizen’s swab samples had tested positive for the virus and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital post contracting the same. However, TOI quoted Deputy Director of Health Services (Nagpur circle) Dr Vinita Jain by stating, “The H3N2 suspected death will be reviewed by the audit committee on Wednesday. It is not confirmed yet.”

Over the past few weeks, flu cases have increased manifold that is in the clutches of an influenza outbreak. The virus – H3N2 – has been the dominant subtype followed by H1N1 and both these subtypes belong to Influenza ‘A’ type.

Delhi Public School, Kamptee Road in Nagpur organized an Inter-Section Quiz for Grade-II students with the aim of promoting their confidence, mental ability, and overall development on Tuesday. The theme for the quiz was G20, which challenged the young learners to explore various aspects of the group of twenty leading economies in the world.

The quiz comprised of four rounds – general, audio-visual, buzzer, and rapid-fire. Seven teams, each consisting of four participants from each section, competed against each other in a friendly and enthusiastic environment. The participants displayed remarkable knowledge and expertise in various aspects of the G20 theme.

The school administration praised the students’ enthusiasm and commended their efforts in participating in the quiz. They emphasized the importance of such activities in promoting intellectual curiosity, creativity, and teamwork among students. They encouraged the students to participate more in such activities to enhance their knowledge, talent, and mental ability.

Overall, the Inter-Section Quiz was a huge success, and the students thoroughly enjoyed themselves while learning new things. The event served as a testament to the school’s commitment to providing holistic education to its students, emphasizing their overall development and nurturing their talents.
