Bollywood star Suniel Shetty’s endeavour – F The Couch – and Nation Next – a digital newspaper for Gen Next – took the first ever Nation Next Talent Hunt auditions to LAD College (Lower LAD campus) recently. In what can be said as an overwhleming participation, around 150 LAD girls (from upper and lower LAD) showcased their talent in front hundreds of other students making the talent hunt a five-hour long affair! The talent hunt also continued the other day during the cultural fest of the LAD college.
Nation Next Talent Hunt would be conducted across all prominent colleges in Nagpur all the year round. Nation Next Talent Hunt is a platform to recognise and reward the hidden talents and the rising stars of Nagpur. The winners of Nation Next Talent Hunt would get a wild card entry to the final round of auditions at F The Couch. Furthermore, if the students clear the final round of auditions, they may get their first assignment in Bollywood or in any other mass media platform.
The auditions at LAD College got a perfect start when Dolly Singh accompanied by her friends did a fire juggling act. What followed was a series of stupendous performances one after the other by LAD girls. While some dance performances made the audience dance together, the singing performances got them sing along with the participants loudly. Sangeeta Shahu impressed everybody when she performed some magic tricks in front of everybody which included picking up a pigeon from an empty box! Not for a minute in five hours, was there a dull moment during the auditions as participants and audience kept the energy high.
The auditions were hosted by Nation Next Special Correspondent and emcee Amar Ashok Jajoo. Also present at the auditions were Vikrant Shandilya (Editor-In-Chief, Nation Next), Mrs Harsha Jharia (Vice Principal, Upper LAD college) and the team of Nation Next consisting of Preeti Buty Shandilya, Radhika Dhawad, Juhi Sethi, Sangita Ghorui, Aditya Buty, Darshan Bagwe, Kartik Thakur, Himanshu Pal and Suyash Sethiya.
Nation Next would like to thank some people without whom the smooth management of the event would not have been possible.
