Nagpur’s 16-year-old Shrishti Sharma on Saturday (February 20) became the fastest limbo skater by skating below 10 bars in just a matter of 1.694 seconds. In doing so, Sharma broke her own Guinness World record, which she had set on January 28, 2020 at 1.720 seconds. Sharma broke during an event organised by Aam Valley Sporting Association and Centre Point School (Wardhaman Nagar) at WCL Umrer Skating Rink.

Sharma took three attempts to achieve the timing of 1.694 seconds. However, she surpassed the previous record in her first and second attempts itself by clocking in 1.705 seconds and 1.697 seconds respectively. Apart from Sharma’s parents, prominently present during her feat were Sports Minister Sunil Kedar, Rajendra Mulak, Raju Parwe, Alok Lalit, and Shivkumar Yadav.
