Nagpur Police seize over 1 tonne ganja worth ₹1.10 crore stuffed between 354 bags of coffee beans

Nagpur Police seized 40 gunnysacks of ganja (marijuana) in Butibori on Saturday worth ₹1.10 crore. The total amount of ganja seized was over one tonne (1014 kgs), which was stuffed between 354 bags of coffee beans.
The seizure of drugs then led to the arrest of the driver and cleaner of the vehicle. The consignment was loaded in Khammam district in Telangana and was likely to be delivered in Punjab.
PTI reported, The operation took place on Saturday night. The ganja was concealed in 40 gunnysacks kept between bags containing coffee beans. A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act has been registered,” he said.

49-yr-old man dies while playing badminton in Nagpur

A 49-year-old man in Nagpur died while playing badminton in Pachpaoli area on Monday morning at around 6:45 am. The deceased, identified as Gunnu Dharma Lohara, was a resident of Yadav Nagar who was playing badminton with his friend.
He was rushed to Central Railway Hospital in an unconscious state and was declared dead by the doctors there.

Nagpur declared ‘no drone zone’ on March 20, 21
Ahead of G20 meet in Nagpur, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ashwati Dorje, on Wednesday, said the city has been declared ‘No Drone Zone’ on March 20, 21. The development came in as a security measure for the large number of foreign delegates that will be in the city for the summit.
Any aerial objects including use of parachutes have also been banned.
