Nagpur Police catch goons on their way to murder rival at Seminary Hills

A special team of Nagpur Crime Branch headed by DCP Gajanan Rajmane held two goons ? Shashank Samudre and Rushab Sahu ? who were on their way to murder a former member of the gang and a murder accused Vishal Meshram on July 13. The duo was caught near TV tower square, Seminary Hills and a case was filed against them at Gittikhadan Police Station, Nagpur. The duo was said to have brought the firearms from Annu Thakur, another goon who was murdered in June this year. Meshram had allegedly killed a 22-year-old youngster named Sumit Dheriya.

DCP Rajmane told Nation Next that two mausers and seven cartridges were seized from the duo and a vehicle Mahindra Bolero, which was used by accused to travel, was also seized by the cops. An investigation is underway; further information will be revealed soon, DCP Rajmane added.

Deaf and dumb students put up scintillating show at Radio Mirchi’s ‘Utsav @ Zero Mile’ in Nagpur

Amid heavy rains, Nagpur citizens drenched themselves in patriotism during ‘Utsav @ Zero Mile’ organised by Radio Mirchi on Sunday, August 14. What made the event all the more special was when several deaf and dumb students of Deaf and Dumb School, Shankar Nagar, gave a splendid performance on national anthem that reverberated patriotic fervour. Apart from them, students from Delhi Public School also left people completely mesmerised with their incredibly soothing performance with various musical instruments.

Ex-Indian Idol contestant from the city Kaivalya Kejkar regaled the audience with songs including ‘Maula Mere Lele Meri Jaan’ from Chak De! India.

The ramp walk took place at Sugandh Sabhagruha in Nagpur on Sunday, August 14 in the presence of Central Member of Khadi & Village Industries Commission, Micro Small & Medium Enterprises Jaiprakash Gupta.
