Nagpur Police arrest 3 for running sex racket; rescue 2 women

Nagpur Polices Social Security Branch (SSB) on September 8 busted a sex racket that was being operated online near Purushottam Bazar Chowk, Besa T-Point, Police Station Beltarodi. The cops rescued two Delhi-based women. 

Speaking to Nation Next, Assistant Police Inspector at Beltarodi Police Station, Sandhya Chavhan informed, Four men accused of running the racket have been identified as Saurabh Sukhdeve (28, resident of Nagpur city), Aftab Shaikh Nizam (20, resident of Ahmednagar), Rafique Pathan (20, resident of Ahmednagar) and Ramzan Pathan a.k.a Rehan Pathan (resident of Ahmednagar). 

Beltarodi Police squad headed by Police Inspector Vijay Akot arrested Saurabh, Aftab and Rafique, who are currently under in judicial custody court. However, we are yet to track Ramzan Pathan, who is on the run.

After receiving a tip-off from citys expert service website, SSB set up a fake deal with the accused for Rs 10,000. When the three accused arrived at the designated spot with the two women, they were arrested under provisions of Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA). Both women have been rescued, PI Chavhan added. 

Further probe is underway.

Deaf and dumb students put up scintillating show at Radio Mirchi’s ‘Utsav @ Zero Mile’ in Nagpur

Amid heavy rains, Nagpur citizens drenched themselves in patriotism during ‘Utsav @ Zero Mile’ organised by Radio Mirchi on Sunday, August 14. What made the event all the more special was when several deaf and dumb students of Deaf and Dumb School, Shankar Nagar, gave a splendid performance on national anthem that reverberated patriotic fervour. Apart from them, students from Delhi Public School also left people completely mesmerised with their incredibly soothing performance with various musical instruments.

Ex-Indian Idol contestant from the city Kaivalya Kejkar regaled the audience with songs including ‘Maula Mere Lele Meri Jaan’ from Chak De! India.
