Mercedes-Benz GLA world tour vehicle reaches the Auto Hangar showroom, Nagpur

The Mercedes-Benz GLA (Great OverLand Adventure) world tour vehicle reached the Auto Hanger showroom in Nagpur today where it was showcased. The tour is to show the technological prowess that Mercedes products are made of.
GLA is a journey of epic proportions which covered all the six continents and remains one of the most challenging feat for both man and machine! The journey started a year ago from a production facility at Pune ? the hometown of Mercedes-Benz India. Journalists from NDTV, EVO India and AutoX took on the mantle of driving these two made in India cars across the world!
The cars were driven from Pune and Mumbai and then straight away airlifted to Istanbul in Turkey. The cars then began their journey northwards into Europe covering countries like Hungary, Austria, Germany, Luxemburg, France, Italy, Portugal, United Kingdom and Spain. It was from Spain that the vehicles were put on a ferry to Morocco in Africa. From Morocco the vehicles went to Western Sahara and Marituana. The journey further was halted because of local civil unrest and the team had to return to Casablanca.
From Casablanca, the cars were sent to USA, wherein they landed in New York and started their journey westwards. The GLA travelled across the USA until San Francisco. From USA the GLA entered Mexico and started travelling southwards to Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, Panama finally entering onto South America in Equador. The GLA was then sent to Australia wherein it conquered the entire Australian outback before finally making its way home via Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Myanmar.
In total the GLA travelled all six continents and over 28 countries clocking over 50000 kms in the journey! What an exciting journey that must have been for sure!

The tweet read, “feel free to order ice cream from bhabhi’s phone if that will help.” However, many users anticipated Kohli’s tweet to be an advertisement for a brand.

Anil Deshmukh granted permission to travel outside Mumbai

Ex-Home Ministe Anil Deshmukh on Monday was granted permission to travel outside Mumbai for four weeks by a special court on Monday.
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former Home Minister of Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh on Monday was granted permission to travel outside Mumbai for four weeks by a special court on Monday. Deshmukh had sought permission to visit his constituency, which is also his hometown, Nagpur.
The application was filed by Deshmukh through his lawyer, Inderpal Singh, stating that he is a native of Nagpur with deep family roots in the city apart from being an elected representative of his constituency.
“The applicant craves a benevolent indulgence of this court to permit him to travel outside Greater Mumbai, including District Nagpur, for a limited duration of about four weeks so as to maintain continuity in his social and family ties and also visit his original and permanent home/constituency,” the plea stated.
The plea further added that “the applicant needs to have due legal consultation with his lawyers in New Delhi for further course of strategy in the present and connected cases.”
