The first Koradi Cultural and Tourism Mahotsav at Shree Jagdamba Temple premises, Koradi concluded on a high note on October 10, 2016. The four-day festival was attended by thousands of devotees, political bigwigs and film stars.
While Minister of Energy, New and Renewable Energy and MLA from Koradi, Chandrashekhar Bawankule played the perfect host at the festival, also present over four days were Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping ? Nitin Gadkari, Member of Parliament ? Krupal Tumane, Minister of Tourism and Employee Guarantee Scheme ? Jayakumar Rawal and former MLA from Ramtek Ashish Jaiswal. Films stars Gulshan Grover, Juhi Chawla, Nishigandha Wad, Manoj Tiwari and Vivek Oberoi were the celebrities who visited the festival during four days and performed the Maha aarti.
Speaking about the festival, Chandrashekhar Bawankule told Nation Next, Such tourism festivals are necessary as they can not only give a boost to tourism in the region but can also create a lot of employment. I’m thankful to all the devotees for coming here and I really wish that they prosper in their lives. Nitin Gadkari, who was the chief guest on the last day, was impressed with the way the festival was organised. Showering his praises on the organisers, he said, Koradi hamare yaha aastha or shraddha ka sthaan hai and more than one lac devotees from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh visit Koradi during Navratri to take blessings from Goddess Durga. It’s really great to see that Chandrashekhar Bawankule has made sure that this Mahaotsav gets organised beautifully.
The ?badman? of Bollywood Gulshan Grover who himself was observing a fast for Navratri was present at the first day of the festival to perform the Maha aarti. It was a treat for the devotees when Gulshan Grover recited some of his famous dialogues for them. Needless to say, they all whistled and cheered after that!
Actresses Juhi Chawla and Nishiganda Wad were also given a warm welcome when they arrived to perform the Maha aarti? on the third day. Juhi, who looked stunning in her yellow outfit, confessed that it was great to be present at the festival.
Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi and Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari were present on the last day for performing the Maha aarti. Vivek whose flight had got delayed arrived a bit late at the occasion. Vivek while speaking to devotees urged them to pray for the soldiers. He said, The nine days of Navratri are all about happiness and celebrations. While we all are enjoying these celebrations with our loved ones, there are soldiers who are far away from their families and protecting our country. I request everyone here to pray for our soldiers and their well being.

1st COVID-19 case in Ramdaspeth crops up near Cabinet Minister Vijay Wadettiwars residence

For the first time, a resident of Ramdaspeth tested positive for Coronavirus on Saturday. The patient, who is said to be residing in an apartment near Cabinet Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation in the Maha Vikas Aghadi and senior Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwars residence (behind Tuli Imperial), is said to be a middle-aged woman.
The patient is reportedly connected to a resident from Mominpura. However, nothing concrete as of now can be said about the same. More details are awaited.

Nagpur: 91 test positive in 24 hours making COVID-19 tally rise to 1266
Nagpur COVID-19 tally as on June 20 rose to 1266 after 91 people tested positive for the virus in past 24 hours. Out of the total 91, while 69 patients belonged to Naik Talao/Bangladesh, 11 from Shantinagar, four from Lashkaribagh, three from Ganeshpeth, one from Uppalwadi, one from Ramdaspeth, one from Mehendibagh and one belonged to Mominpura.
Out of the total, 823 have been cured and over 333 are currently being treated upon.

Nagpur man discovers 4-month-old foetus in gutter; cops suspect illegal abortion
In yet another shocking incident, a resident named Rahul Tumane discovered a 4-month-old foetus lying in an abandoned condition behind his house (near plot number 13, behind Kajal Bar and Restaurant area) in Pardi inside a gutter.
Police inspector Sunil Chavan told Nation Next that a four-month-old foetus, wrapped in a cloth, was found lying inside a gutter near a house on Thursday night in Pardi. Chavan also informed that the foetus was sent for an autopsy to Mayo Hospital and the reports are awaited. Police have suspected the possibility of abandonment after an illegal abortion.
A case has been registered under Section 318 (Concealment of birth by secret disposal of a dead body) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on the basis of a complained filed by Tumane.
