Political bigwigs and film stars make Koradi Cultural and Tourism Mahotsav a memorable affair

The first Koradi Cultural and Tourism Mahotsav at Shree Jagdamba Temple premises, Koradi concluded on a high note on October 10, 2016. The four-day festival was attended by thousands of devotees, political bigwigs and film stars.

While Minister of Energy, New and Renewable Energy and MLA from Koradi, Chandrashekhar Bawankule played the perfect host at the festival, also present over four days were Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping ? Nitin Gadkari, Member of Parliament ? Krupal Tumane, Minister of Tourism and Employee Guarantee Scheme ? Jayakumar Rawal and former MLA from Ramtek Ashish Jaiswal. Films stars Gulshan Grover, Juhi Chawla, Nishigandha Wad, Manoj Tiwari and Vivek Oberoi were the celebrities who visited the festival during four days and performed the Maha aarti.

Speaking about the festival, Chandrashekhar Bawankule told Nation Next, Such tourism festivals are necessary as they can not only give a boost to tourism in the region but can also create a lot of employment. I’m thankful to all the devotees for coming here and I really wish that they prosper in their lives. Nitin Gadkari, who was the chief guest on the last day, was impressed with the way the festival was organised. Showering his praises on the organisers, he said, Koradi hamare yaha aastha or shraddha ka sthaan hai and more than one lac devotees from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh visit Koradi during Navratri to take blessings from Goddess Durga. It’s really great to see that Chandrashekhar Bawankule has made sure that this Mahaotsav gets organised beautifully.

The ?badman? of Bollywood Gulshan Grover who himself was observing a fast for Navratri was present at the first day of the festival to perform the Maha aarti. It was a treat for the devotees when Gulshan Grover recited some of his famous dialogues for them. Needless to say, they all whistled and cheered after that!

Actresses Juhi Chawla and Nishiganda Wad were also given a warm welcome when they arrived to perform the Maha aarti? on the third day. Juhi, who looked stunning in her yellow outfit, confessed that it was great to be present at the festival.

Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi and Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari were present on the last day for performing the Maha aarti. Vivek whose flight had got delayed arrived a bit late at the occasion. Vivek while speaking to devotees urged them to pray for the soldiers. He said, The nine days of Navratri are all about happiness and celebrations. While we all are enjoying these celebrations with our loved ones, there are soldiers who are far away from their families and protecting our country. I request everyone here to pray for our soldiers and their well being.

Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer ‘Liger’ turned out to be a failure at the box office. It was Vijay’s debut in Bollywood and Ananya’s first bilingual film too. But the film didn’t shape up the way it was expected and even Ananya’s father-actor Chunky Panday agrees to it. 

Talking about Liger’s failure, Chunky expressed, “Any actor gives his or her 100 percent to a film. And after you finish it, you go out of your way to promote the film. And these days promotional activities are a trend where you even go into masses urging fans to watch it. But sometimes things go wrong and we are depressed about it. And it’s okay, that’s an obvious reaction for any actor to feel devastated. Success or failure can happen with any film, an artist has to live with it and just move on. I’m sure my daughter (Ananya) is aware of the fact that showbiz is a very tricky business.” 

Having said that, Chunky feels that one should not ‘overconfident’ or ‘underestimate’ anything in the film industry. “On a film set, almost around 400 people work. And as an actor, we don’t get to see each and every thing as a whole. We are aware of only portions of what’s happening but we don’t know what’s going to be the end result. So, it’s better to take things as they come,” Chunky stated.

Sharman Joshi came to fame with romantic-comedy ‘Style’ (2001), his first hit. But, he was already a known face by then with few films to his credit. However, the actor was still trying to set his foot in the industry and had his share of struggle too. In a recent interview, the actor remembered his struggling days.

The ‘3 Idiots’ actor used to call the director for work in those days. “There was a director, who used to have telephone numbers of many directors from Bollywood. I took the list from him and would call them on their landline as those were ‘no mobile’ phone days. One thing that helped me big time was my background in theatre,” shared Sharman. 

But Sharman also confessed that some directors’ would also be considerate. “When I would call the directors and they would talk very respectfully, some even called for a meeting. See, people from showbiz business understand what it takes to be here. So whether you work together or not, that doesn’t really matter. In fact, even today, I just pick up the call and dial to people I want to work with,” said Sharman who made his debut in Bollywood with Godmother in 1999.

Ayushmann Khurrana with Shah Rukh Khan and right in front of SRK’s house Mannat

Like many, even actor Ayushmann Khurrana is a Shah Rukh Khan fan. And when the actor happened to be in Bandra on Sunday, he stopped by in front of King Khan’s house Mannat. In fact, he made a wish in front of the gate looking at Mannat through the sunroof of his car.

The actor shared a picture on his social media page from SRK’s house and captioned, “Mannat se guzar raha tha. Toh ek mannat maang li #AnActionHero #2ndDecember #SRKian” He added the song ‘Baazigar O Baazigar’ from Shah Rukh’s film ‘Baazigar’ along with the picture. 

Ayushmann, who’s busy promoting his film, ‘An Action Hero’, received lots of comments from SRK as well as his fans.
