Indian Under-19 team avenges Team India’s test defeat by South Africa

The cricket Indian Under-19 team, which is in New Zealand for the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup, avenged Indian Team’s recent defeat in the first test match by South Africa by defeating the U-19 South African Cricket Team in a warm up game at Christchurch on Tuesday. The Indian Under-19 team won the match by a staggering 189 runs against SA. While Aryan Juyal and Himanshu Rana scored 86 and 68 runs helping reach the team total to 322/8, Bengal pacer Ishan Porel’s four-wicket haul for 23 runs helped restrict SA to just 143 runs.

India U-19 team will play their next warm-up game against Kenya on January 11 at Christchurch. The World Cup tournament will begin from January 13.

Active COVID cases near 30,000 mark in Nagpur

Nagpur’s COVID-19 tally, on Tuesday, January 25, reached 5,43,064 (till 5 pm) as 4028 (972 from rural and 2956 from city) new cases were recorded in a single day.
Also, active COVID cases, as on Tuesday, could be seen inching closer to 30,000 mark in the district.
