IIT Bombay student arrested for making multiple videos of nude men, women in Thane

A 34-year-old student Avinash Kumar Yadav from IIT Bombay was arrested on Saturday for allegedly filming a woman while bathing. Kumar, who’s a resident of Thane, has been charged under Section 354 (any man who watches, or captures the image of a woman engaging in a private act in circumstances where she would usually have the expectation of not being observed) of the Indian Penal Code.

An official from the Kapurbawadi Police Station stated that the woman filed a complaint after she discovered a mobile phone kept by the bathroom window. She immediately informed her husband, who confiscated Kumar’s phone.

Shockingly, the residents of the building nabbed Kumar and discovered that his phone had clips of men and women, majorly of the whom were residing in the same building.
