Former CJI Ranjan Gogoi receives Z VIP security protection
The former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, on Friday, was given the Z VIP security protection by the Central government. The 66- year- old Rajya Sabha member would be now protected by commandos of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
His security team would accompany him across the country during his travels and visits. The CRPF has a different VIP unit and Gogoi was now its 63rd protectee. A special team of 8-12 CRPF commandos would be securing the former CJI and a similar team would be guarding his residence.
The reason for this security up-gradation was unknown. When, he retired as the CJI in November 2019, he was secured by the Delhi police cops. The task was swiftly transferred to CRPF on Friday undertaking all the necessary security protocols.
Incomplete work of Poonam Towers aka ‘Bata building’ covered ahead of C20 meet
Civic authorities covered the incomplete under construction work of Poonam Towers, situated bang opposite Vidhan Bhavan at RBI Square, on Friday ahead of the C20 meet in Nagpur scheduled on March 20 and 21.
The building owned by renowned builder N Kumar, whose construction has remained incomplete over two decades, it popularly known as ‘Bata building’ in the city.

49-yr-old man dies while playing badminton in Nagpur
A 49-year-old man in Nagpur died while playing badminton in Pachpaoli area on Monday morning at around 6:45 am. The deceased, identified as Gunnu Dharma Lohara, was a resident of Yadav Nagar who was playing badminton with his friend.
He was rushed to Central Railway Hospital in an unconscious state and was declared dead by the doctors there.
