A 30-year-old man, who used to work as a manager for a Pune-based firm, was allegedly abducted and tortured by his employer and two others over a dispute regarding the victim’s stay in Delhi, amid lockdown, on the companys expenses. The police informed about the incident on Sunday. The company is involved in organizing organises exhibitions of paintings of artists.
As per the police, the incident occurred on June 13 at the companys office. The FIR was, however, lodged on July 2 at Paud police station by the victim, who had gone to Delhi for some office-related work in March but got stuck there due to COVID-19 lockdown. During his stay in Delhi, the complainant stayed at a lodge used the cash given to him by his office.
Speaking regarding the complaint, a police official told a daily: After returning to Pune on May 7, the victim’s employer asked him to get quarantined in a hotel for 17 days. Since he did not have money, he mortgaged his phone and debit card before check out. On June 13, the owner and his aides demanded money spent by the victim and pushed him into a car. They took him to the firms office, where he was confined. The owner thrashed him and sprayed sanitizer on his genitals, the official added.
The victim was released later. He later got himself admitted at a private hospital and lodged an FIR on July 2. The police are investigating the case and so far, no arrests have been made.

We’ll be back next year for sure!”
