Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jains condition worsens, to be treated with plasma therapy

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain, who tested positive for Coronavirus on Wednesday after he was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital, was shifted to the ICU of Max Hospital in Saket on Friday after his condition worsened. Jains lung infection increased as he was diagnosed with pneumonia.
As per ANI, the 55-year-old health minister has now been kept on total oxygen support as his oxygen saturation level (Spo2) dipped. The news agency reported that plasma therapy will be administered on Jain at Max Hospital.

As the news of Jains health deteriorating emerged, Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted on Friday: Praying for the speedy recovery of Shri Satyender Jain, Health Minister of Delhi who is battling with Covid-19 infection.
Apart from Jain, Aam Aadmi MLA Atishi Marlena, Akshay Marathe (advisor to CM Arvind Kejriwal) and Abhinanditha Mathur (advisor to deputy CM Manish Sisodia) also tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday.

An Indian student was killed during shelling in Ukraines Kharkiv on Tuesday morning, Ministry of External Affairs informed in the afternoon. The Ministry tweeted: ?With profound sorrow we confirm that an Indian student lost his life in shelling in Kharkiv this morning. The Ministry is in touch with his family. We convey our deepest condolences to the family.
In Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city, videos showed extensive damage from the Russian military assault. One video showed the city’s largest government building blown up.
While the student is yet to be named by the MEA, sources in the Karnataka state government told The Quint that he had been identified as Naveen Shekhrappa, from Haveri district, Karnataka. The 21-year-old was a student of medicine at Kharkiv National Medical University.
The News Minute reported that Shekhrappa was standing in a queue at a supermarket in Kharkiv to buy food when Russian shelling began.
