Chennai Super Kings announce their return to IPL 2018
IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has announced its return to the next season of IPL in 2018. The announcement was made through the franchises official twitter handle immediately after Mumbai Indians (MI) beat Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) to lift the IPL trophy for the third time.
In the eleventh edition of IPL in 2018, while RPS and Gujarat Lions will exit the league, CSK and Rajasthan Royals (RR) will make a return. Both CSK and RR were banned for two years from the IPL in 2015 by the Lodha Committee appointed by the Supreme Court.
CSK in its announcement on twitter wrote: Next Summer, we will be there! #ManyHappyReturnsOfCSK. Another tweet read: Our awesome home will also be back in @IPL next Summer! #whistlepodu #ManyHappyReturnsOfCSK.
