‘BREAKING:’ Mother of over 1400 orphans Sindhutai Sapkal passes away

Veteran social worker Sindhutai Sapkal, who was popularly known as Mai? for adopting over 1400 orphans, passed away in Pune, on Tuesday, January 4.
Padma Shri awardee Sindhutai Sapkal breathed her last at the Galaxy Care Hospital in Pune today.
The 74-year-old was admitted to the hospital more than a month ago. As per sources, she died of a heart attack at 8.10 pm, today.
Sapkal, who was loved and respected across the nation, ran an orphanage – Sanmati Bal Niketan Sanstha in Pune.
Sapkal had adopted more than 1,400 orphans over her long career and has had received several awards for her social service.

KK passed away at the age of 53 in Kolkata

Renowned playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, passed away at the age of 53 in Kolkata. The singer performed at Nazul Mancha auditorium on Tuesday (May 31). He went to his hotel after his performance and collapsed. He was rushed to Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) at around 10:30 pm, where he was declared brought dead by the doctors. The exact cause of his death is unknown as of now.

Shane Warne

Shane Warne, the legendary Australian spinner, passed away at the age of 52 after suffering a suspected heart attack, his management has confirmed.

A statement by the managenent read: “Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived. The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course.”
