Bengali actress Misti Mukherjee passed away on Friday night reportedly after both her kidneys failed due to keto diet. Apart from Bengali films, she had also appeared in Hindi films including Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi and Main Krishna Hoon.

Ketogenic (Keto) diet, which is a high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet, has been  considered controversial ever since various theories suggested it may cause dangerously low blood sugar, kidney failure or even an increased risk of heart disease.

Kartik Aaryan

Kartik Aaryan is one such actor who’s relationship status is much talked about. Recently, in an interview, the actor spoke about his ‘friendships’ and ‘relationships’ getting labeled constantly. But, Karthik agrees with the fact that even though he’s used to living under media scrutiny, he’s not thick-skinned yet.

“I understand the price you pay for being an actor. You cannot run away from the fact that no one’s going to watch you or write about you. It’s something you chose to be in this movie world. So, I’ve agreed to the fact that my life will be out there for all. However, if there’s a genuine friendship somewhere, that relationship will still be labeled. And that kind of labeling creates a lot of issues between people sometimes. That’s not fair I believe. I’m already used to it, but I’m not thick-skinned yet,” he said in a candid chat.

Kartik, who’s kicked about his upcoming movie, ‘Freddy’, elaborated, “If there’s any negative news or rumour, it still affects me big time. And it hurts even more when I’ve not done anything, rumours are completely baseless. Having said that, I’m okay with things and have accepted the life of a film star. There’s not much privacy.”

Varun Dhawan and Sania Mirza

Varun Dhawan is a ‘crush’ of many girls, but he revealed about ‘his crush’ in an interview recently. He confessed that he had a huge crush on tennis star Sania Mirza. And added that Sania’s mother even scolded him.

“I remember one incident. I was working for Mad Productions and there was an ad shoot that featured Sania Mirza. And for that shoot, we needed 300 shoes. So, I went to Linking Road in Mumbai and rented 300 shoes,” said Varun and added, “I had a huge crush on Sania Mirza at that time. I still remember, she asked me for an apple and I got her one.”

But that was not it. There’s more drama to the story. Varun, who’s currently promoting his new film ‘Bhediya’, revealed, “I was giving Sania an apple and like trembling, I said, ‘Aunty… apple’. Sania’s mother thought I was a crack or something. She asked me, ‘who told you to bring this apple?’ Luckily Sania came and said I want the apple. I got like 5K for it – to get the shoes and also maybe the apple.”

Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan fell for Gauri Khan at the first sight and married her in 1991. Today, the Superstar has three kids with Gauri – Aryan, Suhana and AbRam. In an interview once, King Khan said that ‘their marriage was given way too much importance’.

“We give marriage a lot of importance and then we try hard to survive it. I believe, if things are done with ease, acceptance and love, anything is possible. Obviously, your marriage will be successful. You know, the best thing we do is, wake up in the morning and have a cup of tea together. It’s a perfect family time. I don’t get why so much importance is given to Gauri and my marriage. If you can keep your marriage ordinary, it will automatically be special,” said SRK.

On the other hand, Gauri is all praise for hubby Shah Rukh. “He’s the best husband I could ever ask for. Not only that, he’s an amazing father too. I’ve always said that I’m fortunate enough to have a man like Shah Rukh Khan. And I’m not someone who’s gush over things or praise about it, I believe his fans are doing enough of that. I’m a private person and like to keep my love for him private, inside the doors of my house, Mannat.”
