WWE superstar John Cena, who was recently in Sydney, Australia, to promote his upcoming animated feature film Ferdinand, was spotted playing cricket with former Australian cricketer Shane Watson. The 16-time-champion was also given some cricketing tips by Watson, who is all set to captain the Sydney Thunders team for the upcoming season of the Big Bash league.

Watson even posted a picture on twitter with the caption, “Awesome day with @JohnCena. Only the best bats for this champion! @sg_cricket @ThunderBBL. John Cena too tweeted about his experience as he wrote, Read some #Ferdinand, played some Cricket (poorly) and had a great time the past few days in Sydney until the teacher took attendance in class and I was marked absent.”

While Cena was apprehensive about his cricketing skills, the official handle of Sydney Thunders was all confident about Cena’s ability in cricket. The handle tweeted, “We’re pretty sure @JohnCena could hit a few sixes in the @BBL for the @ThunderNation.” Sydney Thunder will take on the Melbourne Renegades at North Sydney Oval when the Big Bash League commences from December 9, 2017.

Meanwhile, WWE Indian fans too have a reason to celebrate, as WWE will be touring India for a WWE Live Show on December 9, 2017 at New Delhi. WWE superstars like Jinder Mahal, Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, Braun Strowman, Alexa Bliss, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, The Miz, Sasha Banks and Bayley are expected to be in India during the tour.
