In pictures: Nagpur artisans make beautiful Goddess Durga idols as citizens gear up for Navratri
Artisans in Nagpur’s Chitaroli are giving final touches to the Goddess Durga idols as citizens gear up for Navratri, which begins from Thursday, October 7, 2021. Nation Next photographer Bhavesh Mahalle stepped into Chitaroli, which is known for sculptors who make Lord Ganesha and Goddess Durga statues, to click some amazing pictures of the statues in progress.
This year’s Navratri will bring respite to not only artisans, who have been struggling to meet ends since the COVID pandemic started last year, but also to citizens who will be celebrating Navratri this year, albeit in a low-key manner.
