In a shocking incident, semi-decomposed body of a 51-year-old man named Vasantrao Govindrao Pusadkar was found near Gumthala village in Kalmeshwar, on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Kalmeshwar Police, the deceased, worked as a labour in a farm, owned by Arun Sawarkar, who hails from Nagpur.
On Tuesday, Sawarkar had visited his farm to supervise borewell work. After noting Pusadkars absence, he decided to visit his home.
However, Pusadkars wife informed that he had left for work on Monday and had not returned yet.
Based on the information provided by the victim’s wife, a missing complaint was filed by Sawarkar with Kalmeshwar Police Station.
On Wednesday, at around 3pm, Pusadkars semi-decomposed body was discovered in a field near Gumthala village, and was sent to hospital for post-mortem.
Further investigation on the matter revealed that Pusadkar was murdered by a 45-year-old man, identified as Raisingh Bhagirath Mewada.
Mewada, a resident of Shetki Sawanga village, alleged that Pusadkar was involved in an extra-marital affair with his wife, and had murdered him for the same.
A case was registered against the accused at Kalmeshwar Police Station, under Section 302 (Punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Mewada was arrested and remanded in the police custody.

The arrest was made under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ola, by Police Inspector Asif Raza Sheikh and staff including Manoj Khadse, Rajkumar Raut and Rajendra Pali.
