In yet another brutal murder case in Nagpur, a 46-year-old property dealer named Mahesh Durgaprasad Tiwari aka Guddu Tiwari was brutally murdered in broad daylight by three men over property on Thursday in Panchpaoli.
The three accused have been identified as Vivek Pandurang Godbole (39), resident of Nari road, Mohsin aka Pintu Ahmed (36), resident of Mahendranagar, and Nilesh Sravan Pillewan (29), resident of Lashkaribagh. According to the police, Pintu and Vivek are history-sheeters with cases of murder already registered against them.
Tiwari, a resident of plot no 149, Ganeshpeth was reportedly friends with Vivek for over 12 years. They had bought a 5,000 square foot plot together at Manish nagar near Beltarodi, out of which, 3,000 square foot land was acquired by Tiwari and remaining 2,000 was acquired by Vivek.
Guddu had decided to run a restaurant named ‘Bonfire’ on this plot. However, Vivek wasn’t satisfied with the plot distribution and felt that Guddu was acquiring the entire space for his restaurant alone. This gave rise to several disputes between the two.
On Thursday, at around 9 am, Vivek, along with a 25-year-old woman named Nohsin Khan, arrived at Guddus residence in a car. They dropped Nohsin and picked up the other two accused Pintu and Nilesh on their way to Nileshs Chinese restaurant named Sonus Chakna Center located near Shanichara Bazar in Panchpaoli.
After getting drunk for over three hours, at around 4:15 pm, Tiwari got into a heated argument with Vivek over property issues. In a fit of rage, Vivek and Pintu smashed liquor bottles on Tiwaris head. Later, Pintu took a sharp-edged vegetable knife and stabbed the victim in his chest and stomach for over 17 times, killing him on-spot.
