All India Veterans Tennis Tournament to be held at CP Club on Feb 23 and Feb 24

CP Club and World Trade Centre (Nagpur), promoted by Goel Ganga Group, will be conducting All India Veterans Tennis Tournament at CP Club Tennis Courts on February 23 and February 24, 2019. The Tournament will be inaugurated on Feb 23 at 11 am by Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr BK Upadhyay.

The details of the tournament were shared by Raj Shah (Tournament Secretary), Alok Raina (Tournament Co-ordinator) and Zubin Jall during a press conference held at World Trade Centre, Nagpur, on February 21.
The matches will be conducted from 7 am to 8 pm for both singles and doubles events. Around 170 players from across India are expected to participate in the tournament, which has total prize money of Rs 1 lakh. The prize distribution ceremony will be held on Feb 24.
The tournament committee comprises of tournament co-ordinators Alok Raina and Vijay Kamath, Treasurer Rajesh Servaia, tournament secretary Raj Shah, Harish Kriplani, Sunil Mishra and Sangeet Chavan. The tournament is being held under the guidance of Girish Dewani, Secretary, CP Club, and Rahul Soni, Sports Secretary, CP club.
The sponsor of All India Veterans Tennis Tournament is Goel Ganga Group’s World Trade Centre, which is currently under construction in Sitabuldi in Nagpur.

Active COVID cases near 30,000 mark in Nagpur

Nagpur’s COVID-19 tally, on Tuesday, January 25, reached 5,43,064 (till 5 pm) as 4028 (972 from rural and 2956 from city) new cases were recorded in a single day.
Also, active COVID cases, as on Tuesday, could be seen inching closer to 30,000 mark in the district.
