22-year-old girl dragged from railway platform, gang-raped by three men in Delhi

In a horrific incident, a 22-year-old girl, on Thursday night, was dragged from the Shakur Basti railway platform and gang-raped by three unidentified men in New Delhi.

According to the reports, the victim, who lives nearby in Shakur Basti, had an argument with her family and was sitting at the railway station platform, when the three men spotted her sitting alone. 

A police official informed that after spotting the victim alone, the three accused approached the girl and started to touch her inappropriately. When she resisted, they dragged her into the bushes near the railway station and raped her in turns. 

They also threatened her with dire consequences if she reported the matter to the police. However, after reaching home, the victim informed her family about the incident. The family members then informed police and the victim was sent for medical examination. 

A case of gang-rape was filed by Delhi Police against the three accused. Police informed that they are analysing the CCTV footage to identify and arrest the accused.

A 49-year-old man in Nagpur died while playing badminton in Pachpaoli area on Monday morning at around 6:45 am.

A 49-year-old man in Nagpur died while playing badminton in Pachpaoli area on Monday morning at around 6:45 am. The deceased, identified as Gunnu Dharma Lohara, was a resident of Yadav Nagar who was playing badminton with his friend. 

He was rushed to Central Railway Hospital in an unconscious state and was declared dead by the doctors there.

Nagpur declared ‘no drone zone’ on March 20, 21

Ahead of G20 meet in Nagpur, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ashwati Dorje, on Wednesday, said the city has been declared ‘No Drone Zone’ on March 20, 21. The development came in as a security measure for the large number of foreign delegates that will be in the city for the summit.   

Any aerial objects including use of parachutes have also been banned.
