Voice of Salman Khan “SP Balasubrahmanyam”, who tested COVID-19 positive, critical
SP Balasubrahmanyam
Known as the voice of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, legendary singer “SP Balasubrahmanyam” has been shifted to ICU and put on life support system after his condition became critical.
Balasubrahmanyam, who had tested COVID-19 positive earlier this month, had said he was likely to be discharged in a few days as he was only suffering from mild symptoms.
According to the medical bulletin from MGM Hospital, the singer is on life support and his condition is critical.
The official statement of MGM Hospital read, “There has been a setback in the health of Thiru SP Balasubrahmanyam who had been admitted at MGM healthcare for symptoms of COVID since 5th August 2020. In a late night development on August 13, 2020, his condition has deteriorated. And based on the advice of the expert medical team attending to him, he has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and he is on life support and his condition remains critical. He is currently under observation by the team and experts from critical care and his hemodynamic and clinical parameters are being closely monitored.
Bulletin issued by the hospital
Nagpur’s COVID-19 tally, on Tuesday, January 25, reached 5,43,064 (till 5 pm) as 4028 (972 from rural and 2956 from city) new cases were recorded in a single day.
Also, active COVID cases, as on Tuesday, could be seen inching closer to 30,000 mark in the district.
Nagpur’s COVID-19 tally on Sunday, January 2 reached 4,94,193 (till 5 pm) as 90 (73 city, nine rural) more people tested positive for the virus.
Nagpur registered 88 (81 from city) new COVID-19 positive cases on Friday, December 31. Nagpur previously had recorded as minimum as six cases on December 24.
