I can’t help if my wife’s name also starts with an ‘M,’ says Subhash Ghai

At ‘Dialogue @ Nation Next,’ Subhash Ghai was asked by a student about his perceived fascination for letter ‘M’ as he has worked with many actresses like Manisha Koirala, (Saudagar), Madhuri Dixit Nene (Ram Lakhan, Khalnayak), Mahima Chaudhary (Pardes) and Meenakshi Sheshadri (Hero), whose name start with M. The showman, who had even changed the name of Mahima Chaudhary from Ritu Chaudhary (Pardes), was quick to quip, “Co-incidentally the first word I spoke was also ‘Maa.’ But look, I didn’t rename Kareena, who worked with me in Yaadein, as Mareena!” Interestingly, the names of his wife (Mukta Ghai) and daughters (Meghna Ghai Puri and Muskaan Ghai) too start with an ‘M.’
