Tirpude Institute of Management Education recently conducted an inter-collegiate Skit Competition 2017 in Nagpur, which was organised by TIARA (Tirpude Institute of Applied & Retrospective Arts) on their campus.
This inter-collegiate competition was primarily held to provide a platform to the young generation actors, writers, directors, etc., to showcase their respective talents.
Saleem Sheikh, Prasanna Shembekar and Shruti Dhabale adjudged the event. The director of Tirpude College, Lalit Khullar, was also present at the skit competition.
The students through their performances struck an emotional chord with the audience as they delivered various acts that comprised genres ranging from comedy, drama, etc.
There were few emotional moments during the skit when the actors (from various cities) moved the audience to tears through skits on Thank you beti?, Khel, etc.

Tirpude College freshers kick start their academic journey on a glamorous note
First year BBA and BCCA students of Tirpude College started their academic journey on a glamorous note as the senior students organised a rocking freshers party at Naivedyam Northstar, Nagpur, on August 31. The theme of the party was Film Stars and Celebrities. As per the theme, freshers not only had to get dressed like their favourite celebrities but also had to act like them throughout the party.
The party started with a fabulous singing performance by a group of seniors, who later also entertained with several other energetic dance performances. Apart from these performances, a fashion show was organised and several games were also conducted for the freshers.

After enjoying the performances, it was time for the freshers to compete against each other for the Miss Freshers and Mr Freshers title. The competition consisted of two rounds: Talent Round and the Q & A round. While all the freshers performed brilliantly, it was Raghav Khungar and Akshita Talreja, who were announced as Mr Freshers and Miss Freshers respectively. Apart from Raghav and Akshita, freshers who won other titles include:
Adarsh Khobragade and Mahek Bhojwani (Mr and Ms Popular)
? Kunal Jaiswal and Himani Kohapure (Mr and Ms Talented)
? Nachiket Dhote and Shubhi Makhijani (Mr and Ms Personality)
After the competition, students and faculty bonded over dancing as they shook a leg together on upbeat songs like Zingaat, Suit Suit Karda, etc., during the DJ session.

Tirpude Institute conducts International Conference on Business Remodelling
A two-day international conference was recently organised by Tirpude Institute of Management and Education (TIME) at the college campus in Civil Lines, Nagpur. The theme of the conference was ‘Business Remodelling: Exploring New Initiatives in Key Business Functions.’ While chief guest at the conference was Dr Pramod Yeole, Pro VC, RTMNU, some of the other important people present during the two-day conference were Ghana Tirpude (Member, Yugantar Education Society), Dr Murali Patibandla (Faculty, IIM Banglore), Dr Kiran Kumar (Indian Statistical Service), Dr Sanjay Kavishwar (Dean -Academics), Dr Praveen Mustoor (Chairman, Training and Placements, TIME) and Dr Sangeeta Deshpande (Conference Secretary). At the conference, 46 research papers out of 70 were presented in different technical sessions by delegates coming from various cities and institutes. Experts from various fields also gave their opinions on different topics after each session.
Dr Deshpande, in her opening remarks, explained Business Remodelling as a method of improving organizational efficiency and quality and aiming to relook at improving the performance by optimizing efficiency. Dr Kavishwar too emphasized the need of remodelling businesses in order to adapt to the changing business perspectives and the advent of technology. Taking to the dais, Dr Yeole spoke about an earlier visit of former President of India, late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam to RTMNU, when he had inquired on the number of PhD degrees granted in a year. Taking a cue, Dr Yeole had then made fleeting changes in the entire process of registering students for PhD degree and setting up a new system conforming to UGC norms. Dr Yeole said that conferences like these provide practical knowledge to students and researchers, expanding their horizons and helping then understanding the discipline in a better way.
In his keynote address, Dr Patibandla spoke at length about globalization in the context of the Indian economy and said that business houses should focus on adaptability and team-building as a part of their remodelling process. Speaking about Asia being the new focus of economic activity, he mentioned as to how how India and China have contributed to the global economic development. Dr Patibandla further discussed the origins and causes of financial crisis of 2008. Concluding his speech, he stated the factors which can make India the superpower of future.

Tirpude students promote popular brands at a Personality Enhancement Program
Tirpude Institute of Management Education (TIME) recently organised a three-day Personality Enhancement Program (PEP), for the undergraduate students pursuing BBA and BCCA, at the college campus in Civil Lines, Nagpur.
The event kick started with a candid session on ‘Self Branding’ by Hitesh Dewani, who gave many tips to students for efficient networking. In another exercise called ‘Brandometer’, students were provided with promotional materials of different well established companies and were told to prepare an audio visual advertisement of 30 seconds and post it on their Facebook account. Renowned brands like Airtel, Garnier, Maggi Noodles, VIVO mobiles, Maxima watches, etc., extended their support for this event.
On the second day of the event, Deepti Dange, an image consultant from Pune, conducted a session for students focusing on strong mental health. She guided the students as to ‘How to handle peer pressure,’ ‘Valuing Relationships,’ etc. Students, who took part in ‘Brandometer’ were then asked to promote the products assigned to them among visitors by putting up stalls. This competition was judged by Aniket Gupta, Piyush Nikhar and Nikhil Polke. The teams, on the basis of scores obtained, were given cash amounts to purchase the ingredients for the next competition – TIME’s Masterchef. In this event, students prepared delicious snacks and desserts for the visitors. After the different competitions, a movie screening was arranged for the students to enable them to relax and learn.
The winning teams were rewarded with cash prizes and certificates for their hard work and efforts. This entire event by Tirpude Institute of Management Education was spearheaded by faculties – Sridevi Jaiswal, Mahesh Josh and Shruti Dhabale Thakare.
