Popular Bhajan singer Narendra Chanchal passes away at 80

Well-known Bhajan singer Narendra Chanchal passed away at the age of 80, on Friday. He breathed his last today at 12:15 pm at Delhis Apollo Hospital. 

 

Chanchal was admitted in the hospital on November 27. He had fallen ill for the past three months and had been undergoing treatment.

 

Expressing his grief over Chanchals demise, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, I am extremely saddened after hearing the news of demise of popular Bhajan singer Narendra Chanchal ji. He made a mark in the world of singing hymns with his vibrant voice. My condolences to his family and fans in this hour of mourning, the tweet read in Hindi.

 

Apart of being popular for his religious songs and bhajans, Chanchals songs like Chalo Bulava Aaya Hai? from Avtaar and ?Beshak Mandir Masjid Todo? from Bobby became immensely popular.

 

He had also won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Singer for Bobby.

Breaking: Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar dies of heart attack at 46

Actor Punneth Rajkumar, who was a superstar in the Kannada film industry passed away on Friday, October 29.
The 46-year-old superstar died of cardiac arrest. At 11 am today, he was hospitalised in Bengaluru after complaining of severe chest pain. Punneth Rajkumar was the son of veteran Kannada actor Rajkumar.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai shared this news on his Twitter account.
He wrote, “I am deeply shocked that Kannada celebrity Shri Puneeth Rajkumar died of a heart attack. The death of Kannadigar’s favourite actor, Appu, hascaused enormous loss to Kannada and Karnataka and I pray that God will have mercy on his soul and give his fans the power to endure this pain.”
