Nitish Kumar to take oath as Bihar CM for 7th time today; suspense over Deputy CM continues

Janata Dal (United) President Nitish Kumar would be taking oath as the seventh Chief Minister of Bihar today afternoon, making him the first one to do so in India. Apart from Kumar, few from ally BJP would also take oath.
However, it is not yet clear who would become the next Deputy Chief Minister in Kumar’s cabinet from BJP. According to a press statement issued late on Sunday night that read, The oath ceremony will take place at 4:30 pm at Raj Bhavan.
The governor was handed over the letter of support from all four NDA constituents. As per his direction, we shall be taking oath at the Raj Bhavan tomorrow at 4.30pm, said Kumar.
When asked by the reporters about BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi and his chances of becoming Deputy CM, Kumar remained evasive.
As per rumours, Sushil Kumar Modi might be given a post in the Union Cabinet and given a Rajya Sabha ticket as one seat was lying vacant post the death of LJP founder and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan.
Sushil Kumar Modi tweeted, In the last 40 years, BJP and the Sangh Parivar have given me so much that perhaps no other person has received. In the future, I will continue to serve on any position I am given. Nobody can take away my status as a karyakarta.

An Indian student was killed during shelling in Ukraines Kharkiv on Tuesday morning, Ministry of External Affairs informed in the afternoon. The Ministry tweeted: ?With profound sorrow we confirm that an Indian student lost his life in shelling in Kharkiv this morning. The Ministry is in touch with his family. We convey our deepest condolences to the family.
In Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city, videos showed extensive damage from the Russian military assault. One video showed the city’s largest government building blown up.
While the student is yet to be named by the MEA, sources in the Karnataka state government told The Quint that he had been identified as Naveen Shekhrappa, from Haveri district, Karnataka. The 21-year-old was a student of medicine at Kharkiv National Medical University.
The News Minute reported that Shekhrappa was standing in a queue at a supermarket in Kharkiv to buy food when Russian shelling began.
