‘Nagpur Next,’ Virat Kohli’s tweet shows Team India’s resolute to beat Australia in 2nd ODI

Team India captain Virat Kohli arrived in Nagpur along with his teammates for the upcoming second ODI against Australia today afternoon.

‘Nagpur Next,’ Virat Kohli’s tweet showed the resoluteness of the captain after Team India’s victory over Australia in the first ODI (at Ahmedabad) of the ongoing series between the two teams. An elated Team India arrived in Nagpur today afternoon to battle it out with Team Australia in the 2nd ODI to be played at Jamtha Stadium tomorrow.

Kohli had uploaded a photograph of himself with fast bowler Mohammed Shami today afternoon. He captioned his tweet, lean, mean pace machine” while posing with him at the Hyderabad airport on Sunday.

Kohli wrote, Nagpur next. With the lean mean pace machine @MdShami11.

Soon, Shami took to twitter and wrote, “Departure to Nagpur with record machine .”

Kohli and his teammates left for Nagpur for the second ODI on March 5. India began the five-match ODI series against Australia with a six-wicket win in the first match at Hyderabad on Saturday. While Team India would be staying at Hotel Radisson Blu, Team Australia would be staying at Le Meredian in Nagpur.

Active COVID cases near 30,000 mark in Nagpur

Nagpur’s COVID-19 tally, on Tuesday, January 25, reached 5,43,064 (till 5 pm) as 4028 (972 from rural and 2956 from city) new cases were recorded in a single day. 

Also, active COVID cases, as on Tuesday, could be seen inching closer to 30,000 mark in the district.

Six people lost their lives (one from rural and five from city) on Tuesday. Till now, 10,183 people have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in the district. Total tests taken were 11,377.
While patients who recovered on Tuesday were 2519, the total number of recovered patients stood at 503729.

Nagpur reports 90 COVID cases in past 24 hours

Nagpur’s COVID-19 tally on Sunday, January 2 reached 4,94,193 (till 5 pm) as 90 (73 city, nine rural) more people tested positive for the virus. 

Also, five patients recovered on Sunday taking the number of recoveries to 4,83,664. 

Till now, 10123 people have lost their lives due to COVID in the district. As of now, there are 406 active COVID patients in the district.
