Unit 4 of the Nagpur Crime Branch on Thursday seized 10 swords and knives from a history-sheeter who was given the weapons by a murder accused before going to jail. The history-sheeter Kartik Ashok Sharma (25) was given the weapons by his brother Rajat aka Lalla Rajkumar Sharma six months before he went to jail. Rajat is an accused in the murder of gangster Vijay Mohod who was murdered in June 2019.

As per the police, Senior PI Ashok Meshram’s team, which is on a lookout for criminals keeping weapons with them, received a tip-off about the swords and knives being kept by Kartik and his accomplice Pratik Sunil Fulzele (21) at Pratik’s house in Gajanan Nagar. The team immediately raided the home and confiscated the weapons and arrested both Kartik and Pratik. 

Kartik, who is a history-sheeter, has around seven offences registered against him.
