GH Raisoni Law School conducts its 12th National Law Fest ‘Kshan’ in Nagpur

GH Raisoni Law School (GHRLS), Nagpur, recently organised its 12th National Law Fest – Kshan-12th National Trial and Appellate Moot Court 2017. Eighteen teams of various law students from different universities across the states like National Law University of Gujarat, National Law University of Patiala, National Law University of Odisha, National Law University of Bhopal, Symbiosis Law School, Pune, ILS Law College, Pune and many other universities had participated.

Moot court is basically a mock court where law students argue with their opponents over imaginary cases for practice. The student who provide the best arguments wins the moot.

The winner for Kshan-12th National Trial and Appellate Moot Court 2017? was SVKMs Pravin Gandhi College of Law, Mumbai. The main aim of the competition was to develop good communication skills among students and create ways for students to grow in the field of law. Renowned judges and eminent lawyers adjudged the moot court session.

Justice BP Dharmadhikari, (Judge, Bombay High Court, Nagpur Bench) was the chief guest who inaugurated the function. While Justice RC Chavan was the chairperson, Vijendra Kumar (Vice-Chancellor of Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur,) was the guest of honour. JL Aparajit, Director of GHRLS, Amit Gandhare, PRO of Raisoni Group of Institutions, Aarti Kalnawat, Moot Court Coordinator and President, Tejas Fadnavis were also present during the event.

On the second day, the preliminary rounds and quarterfinals for the Moot Court competition were held among all the 18 teams. In the evening, personality contest was also held for the participants.

The semi-final and final rounds of the competition were held on the last day of the competition, where SVKMs Pravin Gandhi College of Law, Mumbai, defeated AMITY Law School, Delhi and won the competition.

The final round was judged by justice VA Naik of Bombay High Court, Nagpur Bench, along with Justice VC Daga (retd) and retired Justice JN Patel (retd). The valedictory and prize distribution function was held in the presence of Justice VA Naik as the chief guest. While justice VS Sirpurkar was the chairperson, justice VC Daga and Justice Patel were the guests of honour.

MBA and BBA students party hard at Raisoni College’s freshers’ bash in Nagpur

Freshly inducted MBA and BBA students of GH Raisoni Institute of Management and Research started their college life with a bang as they partied hard at the freshers’ party held at Hotel Radisson Blu in Nagpur.

The freshers’ party, which was hosted by Farhan Kazi, had its theme as ‘Dynamic Duo.’ Abiding by the theme, freshers came to the party dressed at their stylish and dynamic best! Freshers participated in a lot of activities and displayed their talent as they competed against each other to win the title of ‘Mr Fresher’ and Miss Fresher’. Students were judged by pageant winners Prajwal Bhoyar and Miss Priyanka Trivedi.

GHRIMR students spread happiness as they celebrate Diwali with underprivileged kids in Nagpur

GHRIMR (GH Raisoni Institute of Management and Research) celebrated the festival of lights in a unique way as they enjoyed with kids from an orphanage at a Diwali Milan organised at Shraddha House in Nagpur. The underprivileged kids from Jivan Anand Anath Ashram were welcomed by Raisoni students with flowers.

The theme of the evening was Nostalgic 90s and as per the theme a lot of singing and dance performances took place. While kids from the Ashram performed dance on various songs, their love was reciprocated by Raisoni MBA and BBA students who performed especially for the Ashram kids.

Following the cultural function and festivities, gifts and sweets were distributed by Dr Meena Rajesh (HOD, GHRIMR) and Dr Vibha Bhusari.

BBA, MBA students rock Raisoni College’s freshers party in Nagpur

 GHRIMR (GH Raisoni Institute of Management and Research), to welcome the new batch of BBA and MBA students, organised a freshers party on September 11 at Hotel Radisson Blu in Nagpur. The theme of the party was Ticket to Hollywood. The freshers party was managed by the seniors, who made sure that their new juniors have a gala time.

The party kick started with different singing and dance performances followed by a welcome speech by Dr Meena Rajesh, Principal of GHRIMR. Dr Rajesh, during her speech, gave her best wishes to the freshers for having a memorable and productive time at the college.

After a superb western dance performance based on the party’s theme, a fashion show was staged as part of the Mr and Miss Fresher competition. Post the show, BBA and MBA students were awarded with different titiles.
