-1.webp)
Ahead of the Assembly polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Saturday, December 4, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over ₹18,000 crore in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
While addressing a public gathering in the inaugural ceremony, he called on the ?previous Central government? and accused it of demoralizing the spirit of the Indian Army.
Previous government in Centre didn’t work on the infrastructure of the hilly border areas as sincerely as they should have. It was as if they had vowed to demoralize the Army at all levels. We’ve implemented one rank, one pension, given modern weapons, and a befitting reply to the terrorists, he said.
Expressing his views on the development projects, he said, Today, I am very happy that the foundation stone of the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor has been laid.
As per PM Modi, when the Corridor would be ready, the time taken to travel from Delhi to Dehradun would be reduced by half of the current.
Talking about India’s future in infrastructure development, he said, Today, India is moving forward with the intention of investing more than ₹100 lakh crore in modern infrastructure.
In conclusion, he congratulated the people of Devbhoomi for partially vaccinating its entire population against COVID-19.
