Ensured no ‘VIP culture’ existed in vaccination drive: PM Modi on 100-crore vaccination

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Friday, October 22, virtually addressed the nation on achieving the landmark of 100-crore vaccinations.
PM Modi wholeheartedly thanked and congratulated health workers, frontliners, sanitation staff and all paramedics involved in achieving this milestone.
However, he warned citizens to celebrate the upcoming festivals with utmost care. He said, I request all to celebrate the upcoming festivals with utmost caution. I appeal to all those who have not taken the first dose of COVID19 vaccine yet should give utmost priority to getting vaccinated. Those who are vaccinated should encourage others.
Talking about India’s economy, which was hard hit due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he said, Experts in India and abroad are very positive about India’s economy. Today, not only record investment is coming to Indian companies but new employment opportunities are also being created for the youth.
Mentioning the accessibility of the vaccination program PM Modi confidently said that no VIP culture overshadowed the largest vaccination drive in the world. Every man, whether rich, poor or holding an important post was treated the same. No special treatment was given to anyone.
Stating the inclusiveness of all stakeholders in the drive, he said, India’s vaccination campaign living example of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas.
PM Modi also mentioned the doubts and concerns other countries of the world had about India and its vaccination program.
He said, Due to our achievement of 100-crore vaccinations, we are being looked at as ?world’s pharmacy. 100 crore vaccinations is not a just a number but the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the country.
He concluded his address by urging citizens that they should now make wearing masks a habit. Also, he asked fellow countrymen to get vaccinated at the earliest. To those who were vaccinated, he urged them to motivate others to get their jabs.

Active COVID cases near 30,000 mark in Nagpur

Nagpur’s COVID-19 tally, on Tuesday, January 25, reached 5,43,064 (till 5 pm) as 4028 (972 from rural and 2956 from city) new cases were recorded in a single day.
Also, active COVID cases, as on Tuesday, could be seen inching closer to 30,000 mark in the district.
