‘Record’ number of vaccination on PM Modi’s birthday achieved by fraudulent means: Reports
A report by The Caravan had claimed that the record vaccination, which was achieved on September 17- Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, was a result of using fraudulent means by the Central government.
In its report, it quoted several people across states, who claimed that they had received vaccination certificates on September 17, but in reality, they did not get their jabs that day.
The report claimed that many received their certificate from the CoWin portal without actually ?getting their shot? of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Reportedly, in Bihar, many citizens were vaccinated a day or two ahead of the PM’s birthday. However, their data on the portal was uploaded on September 17.
The report stated that according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India administered over 2.5 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
While the daily vaccination of other days could not even cross the 75 lakh mark. One of the two situations could be right, said the report. One is that demand or supply on September 17 was not met.
Or, both demand and the supply of vaccines were met on the PM’s birthday, questioning the very fact that was it specifically made available for his birthday?
As per the latest developments, no authority from the Central government has yet responded to these allegations.
