A strange incident occurred at Nandanvan Police Station in Nagpur after a 25-year-old youngster named Rahul Pagade walked in with a bag containing a ?bomb? at 5 pm on Saturday. Rahul said he created the explosive to beat lockdown blues.
Rahul claimed he found the bag abandoned near KDK College in the city. However, after a brief questioning, Rahul confessed to preparing the bomb himself. He said he watches online tutorials on YouTube and used a petrol bottle and a battery to make the explosive.
Cops said there was no terror angle involved and that Rahul had no intention to harm anyone by planting the bomb. But the cops took Rahul into custody and registered a case under Arms Act and Section 123 of the Mumbai Police Act against him.
Meanwhile, court remanded him for a two-day custoday.
Pagade, who works in a salon and lives alone in a rented house in Saibaba Nagar, got scared and decided to get rid of the bomb. So, he disconnected all the wires and surrendered the bomb.
PTI quoted an official by saying, Pagade told us that he learned bomb-making after watching tutorials and decided to do it himself. He extracted flash powder from firecrackers and used a mobile battery and a petrol bottle to make the makeshift bomb. He connected the wires from the battery to the petrol bottle,” the officer said.
As per PTI, the official said, He told the police that he found the bag containing the bomb abandoned near KDK college. However, the police suspected his statement and interrogated him. Finally, he confessed to making the explosive himself. Pagade said as he panicked and didn’t understand what to do with the explosive, he walked to the police station with the hope to defuse the bomb.

ED arrests Nagpur advocate Satish Ukey who filed petition against Fadnavis

Satish Ukey
Enforcement Directorate (ED) took the custody of RTI activist advocate Satish Ukey and his brother Pradeep Ukey after raiding the former’s residence at Parvati Nagar in Nagpur on Thursday morning at 7 am. Satish, who is also the lawyer of MPCC President Nana Patole, had filed an election petition against former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Devendra Fadnavis.
Ukey had alleged that Fadnavis hadn’t disclosed pending criminal cases against him while filing his nomination papers for the 2009 and 2014 Assembly elections, and thus violated the Representation of People’s Act, 1951. For the past few years, Ukey had also been filing petitions in court against several BJP leaders.
During the raid, an army of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel was also deployed under his house. The crime branch had issued a notice to Ukey regarding a land transaction in Nagpur.
