5-month-old baby infected with COVID-19 in Nagpur

A five-month-old baby boy in Nagpur was also one of the thousands who got infected with COVID-19. The parents brought the baby to a private hospital in Nagpur and got his antigen tested after he developed cough, cold and fever.
The doctor suggested COVID-19 test for the baby as all the members of his family had developed COVID-19 symptoms.
Last year in May, a five-month-old baby boy from Gaddigodam in Nagpur had tested positive for COVID-19. The baby was the youngest to test positive for the virus in Nagpur district.
The babys elder sister and parents had tested negative; the baby was said to have contracted the virus from his maid who had tested positive.
Nagpur’s COVID-19 tally, on Tuesday, January 25, reached 5,43,064 (till 5 pm) as 4028 (972 from rural and 2956 from city) new cases were recorded in a single day.
Also, active COVID cases, as on Tuesday, could be seen inching closer to 30,000 mark in the district.
Nagpur’s COVID-19 tally on Sunday, January 2 reached 4,94,193 (till 5 pm) as 90 (73 city, nine rural) more people tested positive for the virus.
Nagpur registered 88 (81 from city) new COVID-19 positive cases on Friday, December 31. Nagpur previously had recorded as minimum as six cases on December 24.
