INHUMANE: Miscreants blind dog by puncturing both eyes, leave her profusely bleeding near Bole Petrol Pump

In what could possibly put humanity to shame, a horrific case of animal abuse in Nagpur came to light. Some miscreants attacked a female dog by brutally poking her eyes and leaving her to bleed profusely near Bole Petrol Pump in Nagpur. The incident, which left the dog blind, sparked an outrage among animal lovers and NGOs in the city and a complaint was soon filed at Sitabuldi Police Station.
At 8 pm, passers-by on September 8 saw the dog lying on the road while she was bleeding profusely from her eyes. Animal lovers in the city Abhishek Turak, Sameer Uke, Prateek Arora and Sahil rushed to the spot.
She was immediately rushed to Kantes veterinary hospital. Her both eyes had to be surgically removed.

Last night we rescued Lali , this unfortunate soul who was a victim of torture and animal abuse. Someone has gouged , yes taken her eyes out of her eyesockets with a pointed object and left her to die .. on days like this we wonder what the hell is wrong with our society; it’s people. So many profanities come to mind but we maintain our calm and did our job. She was taken into emergency surgery , our vets tried to save her Eyes but could not , she has made it alive but lost both her eyes .. Lali will need immense after care , rehabilitation and willpower to survive !

We have set up a team to investigate the people behind this crime. For that, we’re sending people in the nearby slums. Also enquiring where the dog used to frequent.

Miscreants vandalise property at Nagpur’s Bishop Cotton School, throw liquor bottles in classrooms
Some unknown miscreants in Nagpur vandalised Bishop Cotton School situated on VIP in Dharampeth during the weekend. Apart from the broken plant pots and damaged earthing wires, empty alcohol bottles could also be seen thrown on the floor of the classrooms.
Prima facie it seems some drunkards might have used the school as their hang out place to consume alcohol as it was a weekend and the school was closed. However, nothing could be ascertained as of now; the investigation on the same is on.
Satish Ukey
Enforcement Directorate (ED) took the custody of RTI activist advocate Satish Ukey and his brother Pradeep Ukey after raiding the former’s residence at Parvati Nagar in Nagpur on Thursday morning at 7 am. Satish, who is also the lawyer of MPCC President Nana Patole, had filed an election petition against former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Devendra Fadnavis.
Ukey had alleged that Fadnavis hadn’t disclosed pending criminal cases against him while filing his nomination papers for the 2009 and 2014 Assembly elections, and thus violated the Representation of People’s Act, 1951. For the past few years, Ukey had also been filing petitions in court against several BJP leaders.
During the raid, an army of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel was also deployed under his house. The crime branch had issued a notice to Ukey regarding a land transaction in Nagpur.
