Nagpur woman cop mentions ‘married’ boyfriend as ‘husband’ to get quarantined with him, wife clueless for days

In a strange incident, an unmarried Nagpur woman constable named her married boyfriend as her husband just to get quarantined with him at a quarantine facility at Police Training Centre. The boyfriend, who was already married to someone else, worked with the postal department.
The woman cop and her boyfriend were shifted to a quarantine centre after one of her colleagues had tested positive for COVID-19.
The incident came to light after the married boyfriends clueless wife got worried, as her husband hadn’t returned home for three days. The wife, who had no idea about her husband being quarantined, somehow learnt about his affair with the woman cop.
It was then she went to the quarantine centre where her husband was staying with the woman cop. But, the wife was denied entry by the guards.
Soon, she filed a police complaint against her husband at Bajaj Nagar Police Station and also met Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr BK Upadhayay for the same. Further probe on the same is on.
Nagpur’s COVID-19 tally, on Tuesday, January 25, reached 5,43,064 (till 5 pm) as 4028 (972 from rural and 2956 from city) new cases were recorded in a single day.
Also, active COVID cases, as on Tuesday, could be seen inching closer to 30,000 mark in the district.
Nagpur’s COVID-19 tally on Sunday, January 2 reached 4,94,193 (till 5 pm) as 90 (73 city, nine rural) more people tested positive for the virus.
Nagpur registered 88 (81 from city) new COVID-19 positive cases on Friday, December 31. Nagpur previously had recorded as minimum as six cases on December 24.
