The COVID-19 scare reached near the RSS headquarters in Reshimbagh as a government official residing in an apartment in the area tested positive for the virus on Thursday. The middle-aged man is a resident on second floor of Pushpanjali Apartments near the RSS.

The government official, who works at the tehsildar office in Hingna, was involved in various roles activities such as quarantining citizens, distribution of food, etc. as part of COVID-19 duty. As soon as he got to know that he is COVID-19 positive, he went back at his apartment building. His wife came out of the apartment and gave him some clothes before the official drove himself to AIIMS to get admitted.

While the official has been admitted, his wife, his son and his nephew, who stayed with him, were quarantined on Friday morning. Two of the man’s neighbours, a little boy and his grandmother have also been quarantined. The apartment, at which the official stays, has 80 flats and has now been sanitised. The residents are now hoping that none of the quarantined people test positive for the virus.
